What is the Christian women’s answer to domestic violence? How can a woman cope with ministers who cheer abusive husbands on? How can Christian women get help, when the word of God is being used to manipulate her? The following steps should help you understand whatt to do:

 1. Realize that a loving God does not approve of you remaining with a man who puts his hands on you. You must use common sense, and keep a clear head. I was once in a domestic violence situation, I know what you are going through. But my sympathy will not help you. You have to make the move to help yourself.

 2. Understand that a man who beats you is displaying criminal behavior. If a pastor, or Christian leader advices you to  pray and obey your husband—DON’T LISTEN! He or she has not heard from God. The word of God, supports your decision to leave a violent abusive spouse in Psalm 19:48. Psalm 19:48 says that you have been delivered from the violent man. God has deliverance for you as opposed to bondage. Get the help and support you need. Take action and grab hold of God’s promises of peace and safety, for those who obey his word.
