WOMEN, WISE UP AND RISE UP! By Pam Sheppard

I must admit that in the first 5 decades of my life, I did not particularly like women because in my  world space, there were just  too many  meely mouthed, back stabbin  female crabs in a barrel. And even though I had my issues with men as well, I liked them better and preferred their company and friendship to that of my own gender.  In fact, when I was in my twenties and thirties, my best friends were gay.  We could shop and do the hair, nails and dress up thing, but when I was pulled into a cat fight, their masculine strength would rescue me in  a New York minute.

Now that I have been saved 34 years, with 30 years  in ministry under my belt, I have really grown to love my sistahs and my sisters. Don’t know what I would do with out my crew.   Yet, online, I have run into a wild, unruly bunch  of professing Christian women who are like bulls or heifers  in a China shop.  I call them, “Holy Phony Silly Women!” They are constantly posting teaching material, yet claiming “oh, I am merely about Christian fellowship and I am not a teacher.I am simply “sharing.”

Holy Phony Silly women are those who think they can step out on the Internet—on Facebook, in chat rooms, by email, Skype, YouTube, you name it, they are out there from all over the world, buttin heads with Christian  folk like wild heifers. The freedom of the world-wide web has mesmerized  them to forget Pauls words–-not to use liberty as a license to rebellion. Paul  said it like this.  “All things are expedient to me but all things are not lawful or helpful.”

Much too much that women are “teaching”  and “preaching”  on the web is not only NOT helpful, but it is harmful.

The bible also tells us to avoid silly women and unfortunately, in spite of my affection and concern  for them, I have to turn away. It is not necessary to know a lot to teach.  The issue is that what ya know— ya KNOW!— bottom-line is that what you teach should be without error.

One who teaches needs to be able to discern fact from truth, a hypothesis from a finding,  a  supposition from a conclusion.  Yet women are on video clips and writing Facebook notes and tweeting  about spiritual growth and end time matters. when they have not a clue.  Then, when they are  confronted, they angrily  justify and defend themselves with,

 “Oh, I am just a housewife.  I am not teaching.  I am just “spending quality  time with my online friends. I am not as bold as YOU Pam, to say that I am a teacher.  Oh no.  I am not a teacher.  I am just “having conversation.”  For after all, I am too humble to appoint myself, as YOU have done.   I have the fear of the Lord because I know that a woman is not supposed to teach.  And I know that teachers receive the greater judgment and condemnation for teaching error!”

Holy Baloney!

This is that same ole slippery way that women deal with their husbands.  You’ve played your manipulative games with him for so long,–letting him believe that he is running your home when you KNOW the truth is  that YOU are!!! Consequently, you rationalize  that you can also manipulate God and pretend that “you are not teaching YOUR interpretation of the word of God.

Let’s get real, Sisters.  This is Holy Phoniness to the max. It stinks in my spiritual nostrils. You not only quote scripture, but you declare to people how they ought to worship and “get in the presence of the Lord,” whether or not to fast, how to fast and pray, —and even deeper–that there is no rapture, that Jesus is not literally coming back but that it is a “spiritual” return, that people should not prepare themselves for end times, that those who speak in tongues are going to hell, that Pentecostals are all unsaved heathens.  That various folk are false prophets—I’ve heard a woman call them lunatics.  And on and on it goes, day after day.

But this is not “teaching” you see! It is that great ole euphemism called “sweet fellowship with the saints and harmless, idle conversation”  Oh, no.  YOU  not a teacher.  Yeh!

To that, I say this.  Consider the “technical virgins” of today.  They believe themselves to be righteous because they have never experienced coitus by vaginal penetration, yet they masturbate 4 times a day to online porn or they are having anal and oral sex on a regular basis. “Look yall, I’m still a virgin. Yeh!

So I say to Holy Phony Silly Women. don’t think that God cannot distinguish between a euphemism and the real thing. He can tell the difference between Christian fellowship and teaching. You are TEACHING!

After 30 years in ministry, if I don’t know my calling  BY NOW and if I am not bold enough to stand in it, then I am as Holy Phony as the rest of them..

Yes, I am a teacher. But I am also a pastor, an evangelist, a prophet and if I knew what an Apostle is today, I might be one of them too. I am not ashamed of my calling simply because I am a woman. Man did not call me. God did! Man has to live with what God has already done!

So “either teach, as WOMEN OF GOD,  OR GET OFF THE POT, Sister!

If you decide to teach, I can train you in 3-6 months. You don’t have to affiliate with me and no one has to know that I am the one who “undeceived you” and you can go about your merry way. It won’t matter to me.  My concern is for those who are following you that  some of you are feeding error every day, yet taking no responsibility for your error for fear that God will condemn you for teaching.

He will condemn you for being a hypocrit. You are teaching because the Lord has called you to teach anf you are pretending not to be a teacher because you are a woman. Sounds like a Catch 22 to me.

Time is runnin out, Gurl!

Humble yourself  right now, Gurl,  to the fact that you are teaching without proper training! Time is too short to be narrowminded and petty. You need to get your act together, like yesterday! ASAP! WOMEN, YOU MUST NOT KEEP SILENT FOR YOU MUST TEACH. EITHER STAND UP AND TEACH BUT GET TRAINED FIRST.REBELLION IS AS THE SIN OF WITCHCRAFT.

Whose Preachin Through this guy?!

I was a preacher for almost 3 decades. I preached an average of one sermon a week for 20 years, with 8 of those years preaching 3 sermons a week.  On one occasion in the pulpit, I felt a strange power come upon me where it seemed I was “not myself.” I was in a rather strong altered state of consciousness. I thought is was an extra powerful anointing of the Holy Ghost. IT WAS NOT!!!

When I was sent to church for the first time  in 1979, I had never heard a sermon and so when I was informed in 1981 that upon entering ministry, I would be required to preach a trial sermon on October 25, 1981, I had no idea what a sermon was. In the summer of ’81, I began to preach in my sleep, in preparation for the October day of trial. I also walked around all day for about 30 days, muttering “sermons.”

I thought that I was under the inspiration of the Holy Ghost. It took about 25 years for me to find out that in those early and strange days, I was under the “anointing” of the religious demon assigned to me. I thank God that when I  DID enter the pulpit to preach and pastor, it was only ONE time in at least 2 thousand sermons that  same strange  power came upon me. I have since discovered that it is a demonic power, in no way, the Holy Ghost.

Oh yes! Religious demons enjoy preaching.

I came out of a denomination where men who were adulterers, fornicators, perverts, closet homosexuals could preach so hard, that they could affect even me, in spite of what I knew about the intimate, sometimes secret details of their lives.At least 10 times a year, 50 ministers gathered at various regional church functions and a handful would preach at these gatherings.

When they were preaching, I  harnessed down my soul from being overpowered, but there were times when I could not. Their power was too strong.  I often wondered about it over the years. How could these corrupt men overtake my soul with one of their sermons in spite of my resistance to it? Could this be God? Would God use such sinful creatures to preach HIS WORD???!!!

It took two decades or more to find out the answer to that question. The answer is NO!!!! The Holy Ghost does not anoint such preachers but the devil DOES!!!. It is called communal intoxication by the founder of sociology, Max Weber.

Communal intoxication is defined by Weber as the supernormal ability of magicians, wizards, witches and charismatic religious leaders.With the god concept at its center, they induce an altered state of consciousness in their followers as demonstrated by the congregation’s manifestation of convulsions, trembling, and intense effusions of excitement and ecstasy. (Come Out of Her God’s People, pg 190)

Weber points out that that communal intoxication has a contagious effect where it can spread throughout  an audience or congregation of people, infecting those assembled with sensations of enhanced emotionalism and vitality. This definition explains the so-called holy dance, holy rollers, holy laughter, running around the church building, perhaps even tongues and slain in the spirit phenomena.

This power was manifested in my presence for 25 years  among denominational African-American preachers. Keep in mind that Weber’s studies were predominately tribal communities on other continents, including Africa and Asia. Weber’s findings suggest that the altered state appeal has a significant connection to today’s charismatic leaders’ ability to cause large numbers of people to believe that they have been released from bondage and that they have “heard from God.”

As a result, what has been happening in church is that demons have been using corrupt ministers to preach. I would say that is reason enough to “COME OUT OF HER, GOD’S PEOPLE.”

The bible warns us to “be not many masters, for ours is the greater condemnation.”In other words, “Don’t rush in where fools ought not to tread.” Or “something like that.’  At least, take heed of the worldly proverb which says, “don’t bite off more than you can chew or else you will choke,” if you get my drift.  The bible also reveals  through the prophet David, that man was made “lower than the angels.”Oh, he got THAT right.”

Only ONE human being—the God/man of the universe— has power over angels, both divine ones and evil ones.  His name is Jesus Christ of Nazareth.  When we have faith in Him, then when we confront devils, they must obey us,—not because of US—but because of Him!!!
 So I warn the so-called “Army of God,”  the Dominionists, the Manifest Sons of God, the army of the locusts or “The New Breed,”—by whatever handle they are using at the moment.   If you are out of step with the Lord, then don’t expect that the Holy Ghost will protect you from Satan’s army.  Since the major belief among you is that as a  special “Superman type” you are  going to overcome the devil, just know that Satan is laughing at you. When the enemy comes out against you, without the backup of the Holy Ghost,  hopefully you will NOT be dealt with more harshly than were the sons of Sceva.

Until you’ve been standing “toe to toe” with the enemy, you haven’t a clue of what devils and demons can do to you. After 30 years in ministry—25 of those years in deliverance—, I speak from experience.  When God finally  “un-deceived” me, He politely informed me that “He didn’t call me into deliverance ministry.”

So since I knew that I didn’t “call myself,” THERE WAS ONLY ONE OTHER CHOICE.  I didn’t have to be a Rocket Scientist to figure out that “the devil called me into deliverance ministry.”  Simple logic told me that if the devil called me into deliverance ministry, then “the enemy is in FULL control, the author and the finisher of it.” 

I have had many “encounters” with the enemy in what is called “deliverance ministry.” I have watched  all of  the pre-staged shows, the “charades,” and even the circuses, where demons play games and cough,vomit,convulse, whine, growl, talk,  roll, prophecy, and hiss like snakes. The foolish then believe that because “demons manifested,” the captive is now free.

WRONG! I have stood flabbergasted, as a demon picked up a crippled person OUT OF A WHEELCHAIR—one of our ministers, Ola Cruz. Ola is  a young woman   who has never walked on her own.  Yet,  a fallen angel picked her up and  mobilized  her to walk down a long aisle toward me in what I call “the Frankenstein stroll”, screaming the F word, bellowing in a Dracula-type voice,  blaspheming and trying to hit one of those present in the head with a bible.  Three religious demons were cast out of her at that time  but she did not get saved until 2007. Besides Minister Nydia, I have only met a handful of people who had a false conversion whom God has saved.

The reality is that casting out demons is just the beginning of freedom. Complete freedom can only be obtained when a captive is able to receive the total truth about self, God and the ways of the enemy that trapped him or her off in the first place.

Demons are like actors who far excel over the master Houdini’s of this world. They can imitate any human voice, appear in a mirage as any  human being, and they communicate with each other by telepathy. !!! Whatever you see with your human or even your spiritual eye is “not what you see!!!”   Like movie stars, they like to put on a show.  They particularly like to mock Christians.   So be careful, New Breed!  Even your  “generals” like Todd Bentley haven’t a clue.   You can not  “take back what the enemy has stolen,” because the enemy has stolen YOU!” That’s right!  Joel’s Army is working for Satan!  Get a grip, people!!!  Come out from under Satan by resisting pride.  Humble yourself under the mighty hand of God and admit that you are in gross error.

Once I got wise and realized that the enemy is in control of deliverance ministry and  any movement that uses the term “spiritual warfare,”  I put on the brakes. 

So how did I defeat Satan’s personal agenda against me?

First, I reclaimed my commonsense and learned how to try the spirits.  Throughout,  I stayed at the cross of Calvary!  I resisted personal pride by allowing the Holy Ghost to break me. Therefore, I lost all ambition to be anyone special. It just LEFT!!!  Nothing IN me desires to be a part of Joel’s army as I have been stripped of personal ambition. I no longer seek the help of mega preachers to mentor or embrace my ministry.  In fact, I no longer have “a ministry.”  I no longer stand behind any pulpits nor do I answer to any man’s authority.  Even though man has ordained me and I remain in good standing with my credentials, I no longer submit myself to the approval  of men. I will not be
called, “pastor” any longer, or “Rev” any longer.  When people call me by those titles, with tact, I correct them.

I have ONE General.  Jesus Christ of Nazareth.

I walk by faith and not by supernatural signs and wonders.  One of my practices is to quickly   admit when I am wrong. I not  only acknowledge my error without rancor, but I also make immediate changes.  When, after 25 years,  God said to me, ” If you stay in that denomination, I will not be able to use you.  But let them put you out,”  I did just that and in 9 months, I was “outta there!”  When I found error in one of my 6 books, I tried to  immediately take it off of the market.  When that failed, I no longer market it. When the Lord revealed that the enemy had taken over my church, I shut down a church that I loved–a storefront church that  I had founded 12 years previously.  Whatever God shows me, I DO ACCORDINGLY– once I have tried the spirits and I am assured that it is HIM.

  As a result, God has been  impressed with my meekness and  my obedience.  Realizing how truly powerless I actually am, I am constantly shocked when  the Lord honors my prayers. As I write this,   I perceive that I have entered  into  the secret place of the Most High and that  I abide in His shadow. I  stay in His shadow, because, unlike “the New Breed,” I know full well that the devil is exceedingly more powerful than me, in my own strength.  I  also realize that “this is the enemy’s hour,” given to Him by God Himself.  So I understand my boundaries.  I don’t fret, fear, nor am I sad, nor do I say things, like, “Oh, my heart hurts so bad for God’s people.”  I just keep ready and alert for the moment when I perceive that ONE of God’s people has been prepared to be “un-deceived.”  Then I do what “God has called me to do.”

Therefore, the Lord’s  burden is light to me.  As one who continues to cast out devils,  I no longer struggle with them—not even for 5 minutes— once I have uncovered their presence!  I simply  give the command and the Holy Ghost backs me up.  Since I have humbled myself and perceived that in truth, I am nothing where the power of the enemy is concerned,  demons cannot stand before me when  the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth is in my mouth.  I have real faith in His Name.  You cannot have faith in His name if you don’t live a life of repentance or if you don’t understand His bodily resurrection.

Consequently, it is a dangerous thing to use the rhetoric that I hear in the mouths of those who call themselves frontline warriors, locusts, the new breed, etc. You cannot stomp on the enemy or pull the devil’s teeth.  You are not “the violent who take the kingdom by force” for you have already “been taken.”

 THE OBJECTIVES  OF DELIVERANCE MENTORING

We have found that most Christians who need deliverance mentoring are blinded by spiritual ignorance.  Our goal at SEW is to help you attain clear spiritual vision as we coach and train you to distinguish between good and evil. 

The goal of basic Christian mentoring  is to help you to be engaged, encouraged and enlightened  in your mind. As such, our objective at is to strengthen your spirit so that you will be able to recognize God’s will and choose it above your own.

However, the goal of deliverance mentoring  is to arm you to recognize and effectively deal with  the activity of the enemy in your life.  Deliverance mentoring is broken down into 4 components:

A SEARCH FOR COSMIC EVIL DOORWAYS: These are areas  in a person’s life which are giving or have given cosmic entities the right to enter or remain in the person. Asking Jesus to “come into your heart, a counterfeit birth, a background in the occult, unconfessed sins, ungodly soul ties, unforgiveness, holding cursed possessions (occult rings, etc.) and so forth can give demons a right to inhabit and torment a person. These legal grounds can be  removed by facing the truth,  repentance, renunciation, extending forgiveness, etc.

THE EXAMINATION OF STRONGHOLDS: These are basically incorrect thinking patterns in your mind. For example, if  you think God is angry with you because you have committed the unpardonable sin, then you will feel like He is. This stronghold may open you to panic attacks, paranoia  or obsessive compulsive behavior. Strongholds are torn down in each mentoring session  as a trained minister and mentee work together to reprogram your mind to think differently. You might say that the SEW approach to a stronghold is to enhance critical thinking capabilities and simple commonsense. Together the mentor and the mentee destroy the strength of the debilitating thought.

RESTORATION OF YOUR SOUL: Renewal is often required when counseling a person who has been abused, raped or has been exposed to a traumatic experience. Becoming whole  is a work of the Holy Spirit and is received as a captive is  delivered from  the inner hurt and pain from past experiences. Then   the Holy Spirit  comes in and heal those wounds. Forgiveness often plays a part in this releasing process. Oftentimes, self-forgiveness needs to be received as the captive may be   holding things against him or herself which must be released. Once truth is known and accepted, freedom is obtained.

EXPULSION OF THE ENEMY Confronting  cosmic entities directly  is where either devils or demons are  driven out of the client by the Name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth and the power of the Holy Ghost. After success in the first three stages,  expulsion is often un-necessary. However, in various cases, direct confrontation of the powers of darkness cannot be avoided.  At this stage, the client MUST sign and notarize an informed consent form called the DDF, the Deliverance Disclaimer Form. There are no exceptions.

LET THE GOOD SPEAK EVIL

Let the Good Speak Evil 

In 1988, Geraldo Rivera televised a program that focused on Christian Cults, with the subtitle “Zombies for Christ.” Interviews are held with people who underwent deprogramming from the influence of charismatic, fundamentalist leaders and churches. The major problem that I had with this process, is that those who are doing the “deprogramming” are not born again Christians themselves, and may be deprogramming people completely away from Jesus, which of course is the subtle, underhanded strategy of the devil, using professing Christians against themselves. Worst yet is that they are programming people toward the fake Jesus by telling them to “ask Jesus to come into your hearts.”

People are watching Christian television and reading Christian books, who themselves need to be deprogrammed from error that is causing them to be vulnerable to demonic oppression of a very serious nature. In fact, when I have tried to counsel those who have come to me to seek deliverance from the torment of demons, the mixture and error in their spiritual foundation is extremely deep.  Therefore,  deliverance is severely hindered by the amount of error that these captives have anchored their faith to by watching Christian television or reading the books of various mega preachers.

The problem of today is similar to what Rivera explored in 1988.  Evil spirits know it is fruitless to urge the righteous toward sins of the flesh, so demons use another tactic called DECEPTION. The Satanic strategy is planned in the form of teachings and doctrines that appear “good”. The biggest deception is to receive counsel solely based upon the godly life and character of the counselor or teacher. Most false prophets are clean living, righteous, upstanding folk.  So to receive their teachings based on their “good character” is what the enemy is after.

Therefore, it is important for you to know that every thing that the enemy does is not always evil as he works under the cover of light. So the strategy of deception is to get the righteous or good person to accept a wrong idea and then to pass it off to others “as truth.”

Certainly, the bible   should be the foundation of every Christian. However, it is important to point out that scripture is also  used as the basis of false teaching.  The enemy  has  very skillfully woven into a web certain scriptures  that will ultimately entrap a child of God like the prosperity gospel, praying in the spirit, tongues, slain in the spirit—I could go on and on!. With each false doctrine and practice, the method is to pull single texts out of their original context. In my work with  professing Christians in torment or bondage, the following scripture from the book of James rings true:

WE ARE DECEIVED BY SEEMING TO BE RELIGIOUS, WHEN AN UNBRIDLED TONGUE REVEALS OUR TRUE CONDITION.(James1:26)

I train ministers in our deliverance mentoring program to   listen to the unbridled tongue so as to expose the nature of the deception. Also, Paul wrote to Christians that we are deceived when we think ourselves to be wise with the wisdom of this world.(I Corinthians 3:15) Deliverance Mentoring  is certainly  a humbling process, for very often, Christians in torment must resist the devil by admitting that they have been deceived not only by well-meaning Christian teachers, family and friends, but also by their own heart. (Jer 17:9, Isaiah 64:20)

TO FACEBOOK TEACHERS: God Resists the Proud

GOD RESISTS THE PROUD
 
The devil’s deception was broken in my life because I am quick to admit to error and I am not a people pleaser.

Facebook is a place where everyone wants to teach and be heard and few want their followers to know that they don’t know very much.   Rebellion and belligerance is very apparent in their various posts which portrays a rebellious  spirit. Since rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft, many Facebook teachers are in the hands of the enemy and God has turned some of  them over to strong delusion.

There are some teachers on fb that have actually put people in bondage with their teachings.  I won’t call any names but the truth is that their pride keeps them from being teachable. The enemy loves pride because deception is made easy when we think more highly of ourselves then we ought to think. I am not an advocate of the world’s self-esteem teaching that has been adopted by the religious world.  Self esteem as defined by the world is when the world has high regards for you.  You are accepted, found to be worthy and considered competent. In other words, worldly self-esteem is rooted in what others think of you. And for this reason, those who seek worldly favor will compromise to obtain and sustain the world’s approval.  Christians of this persuasion find that they are always trying to fit in and in so doing, they disobey the Lord’s will to please others.

I have purposed and established in my heart that my self esteem is found in Jesus Christ.  The Lord is the only one I need to please because I love truth. When the motives of the heart are not pure, truth will be hidden.  To be pure is to be clear, articulate, unclouded understanding.  Not confused, covered up or clandestine. When something is not pure, it is defiled.  To defile is to contaminate or to pollute.  When the heart is not pure, then Satan’s job is easy because defilement has come from within US, usually because of pride. For pride begins with what we say in our hearts and what we believe in our minds. Jesus linked pride to adulteries, fornication, murders, thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, lewdness, an evil eye, blasphemy and foolishness. (Mark 7:20-22) A proud mind is not pure because it thinks, feels and behaves in ways that suggest that we think too highly of ourselves.

Pride, self esteem and vanity deny and conceal the truth. These 3 traits will pull you away from the Lord’s will by quenching and grieving the Holy Spirit and your spirit will become blocked from God’s revelation about what is to come.  Pride is also PHONY. Nothing real about it because it puts forth a facade or an act. Pride will cause you to deny your feelings, and pretend so much that you even fool yourself.  But the devil is not fooled. He knows when you are “fronted” before him in your effort to appear to be in control, putting forth that lie when you routinely boast that you are blessed by God. As you over compensate, pride will prevent you from admitting that you need help and therefore the enemy can use your pride to block you from crucial resources.

The proud religious person must ALWAYS appear to be knowledgeable and therefore he or she will never admit to not knowing or understanding a verse of scripture, because they are concerned that others will think them stupid and so they will even lie to cover up their ignorance or their weakness as they  hide the truth to protect their religious image. Such people are already in the hands of  a religious demon. Pride goeth before a fall!

A proud person is not wise either. They make stupid, even costly mistakes. As vanity is excessive pride, a vain person’s conceit will bring sure destruction for self-deception is an open doorway to failure.  Proud people :

  • are outraged when others they that they are superior to them
  • are defensive, always justifying themselves
  • are critical in their efforts to tear down others to build themselves up
  • will hunger for prestige by seeking praise and approval from others
  • adopt the ways of those they are trying to please.
  • make EVERYTHING personal.
  • will live in the past and hunger for “the good old days.”

To the proud I  declare that the world did not create you. The world did not redeem you. When you justify yourself before men, you establish them as your lord with authority and you enable the enemy to deceive you. Remember. God resists the proud but gives grace to the humble.
