Speaking in tongues was one of Gods gifts to his people to help spread his message among His people. One the Day of Pentecost, in one local community there were 17 different languages spoken. They ALL heard the gospel in their own language.

I believe that tongues have ceased. The reason I believe that all tongues spoken today is a counterfeit is based on simple logic and basic commonsense. I found that as I conducted research for the book “the fake Jesus,” tongues actually DID cease as Paul told the Corinthians that they would. History reveals that tongues ceased for 19 centuriesThink about it. No Christian needed or ever heard of “a prayer language” for 1900 years!!!!!.
Why did tongues cease?
Well, because its purpose had been fulfilled.
Here is a quote from the Fake Jesus: Fallen Angels Among Us.
“God Himself brought forth many languages to hinder the building of the tower of Babel. In Genesis 11, we read that because of the people’s rebellion, God confused the language of all the earth so that the people would not be able to understand each other’s speech, How ironic and counter-rebellious on the part of Maitreya. As Satan’s representative of endtimes, Maitreya plans to do just the opposite in Mystery Babylon, which includes the organized church. Maitreya’s goal is to cause all who speak in different tongues to hear him in ONE tongue. This is a complete reversal of God’s actions to hinder the tower of Babel. This is blasphemy to the nth degree. Anyone who does not close the door to self-induced passivity is at risk of becoming reprobate.”
In the Fake Jesus, the connection of the speaking in tongues movement to Satan’s endtime agenda is exposed.

Hello Pam. A little further reading would tell you Tongues did not cease for 1900 years. The early church fathers did record many speaking in tongues. Even Augustine, who first thought them to have ceased, also later retracted his statement and said they had not. You can look it up.
Also, your site says you prayed for interpretation but had no avail, nor did you find anyone who could have the gift of interpretation. Well, I just wanted to let you know that the Lord has blessed me with letting me know what I prayed in tongues. I will pray in tongues, then English comes out. Generally, it’s singing praises to Christ and the Father. This gift did not come about with much seeking either, for I only wished for it once… Little did I think I’d get it! So I know it’s truly by God’s grace that I have it, despite my faithlessness. Tongues has also helped me bear good fruit. The more I prayed, the more I loved God and wanted to give my life to Him, and to seek His word and truth.
A word of caution for what you’re teaching: Heresy, trial, and struggle against sin has been in the church long before the “New Age Ascended Masters” came along, so what you about Sananda may not be true nor biblically sound. Even the apostle Peter and Barnabas gave way to hypocrisy, though they changed their ways after Paul rebuked them. It is true that much of the IC has departed from Christ, and for that we ought to pray for them, grieve and be aware… But be cautious about what you learn and teach. Your use of the chakras in your doctrine is also concerning… In the traditions, the chakras do not open as you merely pray or believe certain things, but they open as you actively wish to do so. They also do not open out of order, but they start from the “root” then go upwards. Of course, it is perfectly logical to say Satan will tempt and devour based on how we allow him in, but I do not think this has anything to do with “chakras,” for that is New Age and Eastern false doctrine.
Moreover, much of the OT practices were done by Middle Eastern pagans also. Sacrifices, anointing things to set them apart, rituals, etc. But because they were commanded and made permissible by Yahweh, the Israelites did them as worship. Therefore, so long as the practices are not forbidden in Scripture, are thoroughly tested by God’s word, and made sure to be glorifying to Him, they should be fine and not at all witchcraft.

The best historical treatment I have found on this subject is at http://www.speaking-in-tongues.net
Where interpretation is concerned, the evil spirit assigned to you is deceiving you into believing that you are interpreting. I did that on occasion, started speaking in English right after speaking in tongues. It appears to be an interpretation when it is not. These “tongue” demons have all kinds of tricks at their command.
I will not talk down to you nor speak to you in a highminded, all-knowing way as you have done to me. This subject is way to deep for any of us to think we have all the answers, so I try to remain humble so that the Lord does not resist me because my ignorance.
So I will simply say that Satan has this thing in hand, completely under his control and anyone who believes they have gained from it is grossly deceived.
Sherry, I spoke in prolific tongues for 25 years. So much so, that I even cast out demons speaking in tongues. I got really suspicious when the demons in the captive seemed to understand and actually interpreted my tongue. This happened on more than one occasion with different captives.

“Charity never faileth: but whether there be prophecies, they shall fail; whether there be tongues, they shall cease; whether there be knowledge, it shall vanish away. For we know in part, and we prophesy in part. But when that which is perfect is come, then that which is in part shall be done away” (1 Co 13:8-10).
This verse teaches that several things will either fail, cease, or vanish away. it says that prophecies shall fail, tongues shall cease, and knowledge shall vanish away.
All three of these will either fail, cease, or vanish away when, “that which is perfect is come.” To say that one of these ( prophecies, tongues, knowledge) has either failed, ceased, or vanished away is to say that the other two have taken their respective path as well, as the timing for all three of these seems to be the same.
Has prophecy failed?
Has knowledge vanished away?
Have tongues truly ceased?
If the answer to one of these questions is “no,” then the answer to all of them is “no”.

I don’t agree with your reasoning. Tongues ceased 19 centuries ago. Knowledge has not yet vanished away, nor has prophecy.

Pam 911 – It doesn’t matter how I reason. It maters what the scripture says. To say that one of these has been done away is to remove it from the timing that the scripture gives.

I see no timing that the scripture gives, Mike.
