So Many Doctrines

denominations

There are so many different doctrines being preached in the organized church, it’s a wonder we didn’t catch on sooner. If nobody was ever on one accord, yet everyone claimed to be “leading people to Christ,” how in the world could we have believed that the church was the avenue to God? Just some observations. Did you know that there are over 41,000 denominations that exist? Now, some of the denominations share the same doctrines, so 41,000 denominations doesn’t necessarily mean 41,000 different doctrines, but let’s face it…We all know, even from discussions among us, that there are several different gospels being preached…all of which have nothing to do with the true Gospel of Jesus Christ. They water down the true gospel, and suddenly boatloads of people are flocking to church altars all over the world, claiming they got saved??? Really? My question to them is, “Well which gospel were YOU preached?” BLOWS MY MIND.

Anybody else out there put any thought into this? If so, do share!

In RESCUE, we dispel false doctrine and proclaim truth. Many who have joined Rescue have been undeceived as a result. If you have questions about practices within the organized church and feel that God may be leading you away from those practices, you are not alone. Rescue just might be the group for you. Spot on Tee. However, I would go even further. Apart from the “organised” churches there must be hundreds if not thousands or more small house churches, groups, ministries that are also following a “watered down gospel” as you say. Discernment so very important in these times. Its very sad…

You are so right. Yes, I forgot to include the house church groups. People think that if they leave and start house church ministries, they are doing a good thing. But, it means NOTHING if the false doctrines are still being taught!!! It’s the SAME THING! In fact, all it is is an extension of the organized church. Forms of Godliness, that deny the power of Jesus Christ! Really, one must demo from religion ALTOGETHER.

I couldn’t agree more , in fact I agree with the last few notes you posted 100%.
My apologies for thinking wrongly in the past.
I definitely don’t think religion is good as Jesus said He was the only way so that would mean believing solely in him. Having a relationship with God the Father, Jesus the Son of God and His Holy Spirit.
I believe it’s very personal where one has to talk quietly from within to God being very sincere.
We all sin even after being saved.

Greg, I agree that the born again certainly have the capacity to sin, but born again people do not sin regularly or live a life of sin. If we do sin, the Holy Spirit shows us how we sinned and convicts us of it, so that we can immediately repent. The power of the cross and bodily resurrection helps the born again to refrain from sinning. The born again do not sin continually. That would negate the point of salvation.
