All The Lord ever asked us to do for the unsaved is preach. He never asked us to convict, convert or even to pray for someone’s soul to be saved.
Some prayers can be dangerous. Prayer becomes dangerous when it descends into charismatic witchcraft when the one who prays seeks to control the lives of others. Soulish prayers of this kind energizes psychic power by projecting one’s thought on to the persons that they are praying for, by saying that such and such a person ‘shall’ do this or that. Such prayers make demands upon God to “make something happen. According to Jessie Penn Lewis,
“Every prayer should be directed Godward, and should never be a telling the Lord what to do for somebody else. We may pray that God will direct them what to do, but we ought not to say that they ‘must’ do what WE THINK is God’s will they should do, or even that they ‘shall not’ do what we know is wrong.”
So what is the purpose of intercessors prayer? I believe it is in Isaiah 58. To loose the bands of wickedness. To let the oppressed go free. To undo heavy burdens. To break every yoke.
It is amazing how so many unsaved people think that their prayers are saving folk! SMH

Hello my name is Samantha and I am from Australia. Please can you answer a troubling question for myself in regards to a friend of mine. My friend’s name is Deanne. Deanne is now 50. When she was much younger she partook in a séance. She tells me that in that séance they made contact with a pharaoh and that, that pharaoh singled her out and told her that “If I can’t have you no one can!” Deanne’s life has then gone on to be a difficult journey. Her first relationship ended with her partner committing suicide leaving her to raise their son Luke. She then met Mark and they were married and had two boys (Joshua & Oliver) raising the 3 boys together. They lived on a Dairy farm during some tough times of an Australian drought that lasted over a decade. Mark suicided also. On her birthday of all days making it difficult to ever celebrate Deanne’s birthday ever again. Deanne has now been on her own for 11 years since Mark’s passing and desperately would love to share her life with the right person. She has prayed for many years for God to send her someone, I have prayed for the almost 5 years that I have now known her also. But all that came along was a Dr who stole her heart but is involved with someone else so she has blocked him out on so many occasions but he keeps coming back wanting to be friends, wanting to cook her dinners…….but will not end his other relationship. So she keeps informing him no. Deanne has wondered is this that pharaoh messing with her?. What do we make of all of this??? We are so confused, has something got hold of her that wont let go. Deanne is fit a slight build and strongly resembles Danni Minogue (Kylie Minogue’s sister) so she is beautiful, intelligent, hard worker at the hospital, successful and financially stable. She has beautiful Christian parents where her mother plays the organ at the local church. I should add that Deanne is so desperate to meet someone that she has often seeked fortune tellers out of desperation. I advise her that they are not good. She is engaging in a regular weekly meditation group and has recently attended reiki. Her closest friend (Corrine)also hears voices and gets visions and both Deanne and Corrine believe that they are first and foremost God believing Christ saved….. but that Corrine has abilities. I’ve been at a café and seen Corrine shaking and her jaw jittering. To me she looked as though she is freezing. It went on for most of the day. She gets worried when this happens as it is usually means bad news . It turned out that a relative of Corrine’s was diagnosed with cancer and to make it worse her husband (who’s name is also Mark) has been diagnosed with stage 4 cancer at the age of 42. Please, please can you help me, I want to help my friend and don’t know how to? She so very much deserves happiness. They all do. Kindest Regards

I will simply say that the effects of a seance and going to psychics and the like have far reaching consequences. I know this from personal experience. What Deanne needs to know is a simple truth. Evil spirits LIE!

When Deanne participated in the seance years ago she opened the doorway for demons through occult activity. The contact they made with “pharaoh” is a demon. I can tell that Deanne became passive because after the demon declared no one can have her, she did not refuse this by her own will but passively accepted what the demon told her. Now every sad situation that occurs in her life she links it to this experience. Could the tragic happenings of her husband be due to this? maybe but there could actually be no connection. Deanne is stuck on cause and effect thinking where she believes events are connected, demons love this because they can control a person through their thinking.
She prays to find the right person, she needs to realize prince charming does not exist! There is nothing wrong with wanting to be married but when it consumes your life and you believe that as a single person – you are still incomplete and need someone to share your life with quite frankly you have set yourself up to be an easy target, now the devil can send anyone who will “look” perfect but they are out to destroy you – emotionally, mentally, or financially etc. She needs to retrain herself to know that she is ok being single, a man does not complete you.
Prayer should be God-ward, church has taught people to ask things from God but the reality is we should not be telling God what to do. Prayer can also be dangerous especially if one is not born again, the prayers could be heard and answered by fallen angels and religious demons posing as God.

The Dr. who is taking no for an answer is not pharoah he just likes the chase, he doesn’t even respect her considering he is in a relationship already! tell her to be firm and have nothing more to do with a man who is already unavailable. She is setting herself up for heartache the longer he stays in her life.
Fortune tellers, reiki, meditation are also doorways Deanna is opening for demons to enter her life. As long as she continues in occult practices the enemy will keep messing with her. Please read this article on Reiki and meditation which lead to the opening of the chakras and demonic torment.
Corrine’s shaking could be signs of kundalini awakening in her body – again i see the cause and effect thinking that something wrong happens when she shakes when the events could be unrelated BUT the demons use this to control Corrine by making her believe they are in control of her life and those around her.
Both Deanna & Corrine believe they are saved but i would advise them to examine their salvation. Alot of people believe they are born again but have false conversions. Did you or them at any point say a prayer to invite Jesus into their heart/life? Do they consider regular church attendance as a sign of salvation – then they are not born again! This is an extremely important task you and your friends MUST DO! Examine your salvation. Watch this video series, and honestly answer whether you have a false conversion or a true born again experience. Look for the False conversion series….
