The Uncovering Of Jesus Christ of Nazareth

25 Sep

The revelation Jesus Christ of Nazareth the King of kings is glorious beyond useable words. In Greek “revelation” (apokalypsis) is a combination of the root words “off” and “cover or hide.” This word gives idea as to something that is hidden from sight and invisible, but is being brought into visibility and appearance.

Jesus Christ of Nazareth has been uncovered as, the Way, the Truth, the Life, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End, the One who is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty, the One who died and came to life, the I AM, the One who has the sharp two-edged sword, the One who has the seven spirits of God, the Ruler over God’s creation, the Faithful Witness, the Amen, the LORD of Glory, the LORD our righteousness, the Root of David, the Son of God, the High Priest, the Word of God, the Man alive from the dead who holds the keys to Death and Sheol, the One whose heel crushed the head of Satan, the One who destroyed the works of Satan and death, the Son of Man, the power of God, the wisdom of God, the light of the LORD, and endless more revelations…

The Lord Jesus was crucified, and died. Yet, on the third day when His body was resurrected, He walked in a completely glorified body brought to life by the Father’s Holy Spirit. He is immortal, and indestructible. One of the most stunning revelations of Christ was given to Paul in his letter to the Philippians,

“For let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus, Who substituting in the form of God thought it not robbery to be equal with God, but emptied Himself, taking the form of a slave, having become in the likeliness of men, and being found in fashion as a man, He humbled Himself, having become obedient until death even the death of a cross, therefore also God highly exalted Him and gave Him a name above every name; that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those of heaven and those of earth and those under the earth and every tongue shall confess that Jesus Christ is LORD to the glory of God the Father” (Philippians 2:5-11).

There is nothing not-subjected to the feet of Jesus Christ. Every power, every being, everything is under His subjection. Everything, including Satan and his kingdom is under the authority of Jesus Christ of Nazareth. There is no name that can rise above Jesus, there is no power than can overcome His, there is no lie that can overcome His truth, there is no wisdom that can outwit His, everything must simply bow at His Name and confess He is LORD. The Kingdom He rules is ultimately, the “Kingdom of kingdoms” and though we do not see Him reigning physically on earth, the authorization of His Kingship is completely official and valid. It’s only a matter of fulfillment, and the Father’s timing until that blessed moment happens, and all the unauthorized kings and kingdoms (physical or spiritual) on earth will be physically seen subjecting to His feet as He rules with an iron scepter.

The best way to describe this subjection and authority is like this: There exist a land that was purchased by a merchant. The merchant had to go to another place, yet still owned the land and all it’s settlements. The collection of settlements, and every person residing to the land has to give an account unto the merchant, and is therefore subjected to him.

It’s in this way, figuratively, we see the Lord Jesus as the “merchant” who owns all things, and all things must give account to His subjection. Although He is physically not here, like the merchant who went off somewhere else, He never the less has rightful law and order over what belongs to His rule, which is everything.

It is always darkest before the dawn. The Day of the Lord is near, like a sunrise; and Satan knows it. Although we are in an abode of night with overwhelming darkness and evil, we never the less are eagerly awaiting the “morning”—the coming and further revelation of Jesus Christ the light of God, who will shine like the sun at His coming.

“And we have prophetic word more fully confirmed, to which you will do well to pay attention as a lamp shining in a dark place, until the Day dawns and the Morning Star (Jesus Christ of Nazareth) rises in your hearts,” (2 Peter 1:19). [This is a metaphorical expression from the Apostle Peter, Jesus Christ is not literally in your heart].
