Do You Want to Be in a Church Run By Fallen Angels and Demons?

2 Mar

By Pastor Pam Sheppard of Pam Sheppard Ministry

One of the reasons that makes  witnessing to churchgoers both difficult and unpleasant  is because  they have not yet heard from the Lord in a revelatory way.  Most of the religious  believe that if your argument is not bible-based, then it is not worth listening to.  So, a way to get through to them is using the scriptures in red.  In other words, “What did the Lord Jesus say?”  Use the Lord’s own words to reveal the truth to them.

The Lord  Jesus presented a group of kingdom of heaven parables, most of which He did not explain, but he left some clues. One of the clues as depicted in Matthew 13, is the birds. Therefore, when you’re keeping things very general, your focus is to  rely on what the Lord said, what the Lord shared. Consequently,  ask your religious churchgoer,” what do you think that parable means?”  Listen to what they say. You also  ask questions. First of all  Ask them, “what do the birds represent?”  They won’t know.  So remaining focused and patient, you highlight   the verse which most people know by taking him, her or them  to the parable of the mustard seed  that grew into a large tree.

The trunk of that tree is the Catholic church, and the branches of that tree that come out of that trunk are the plethora of Protestant denominations and non-denominations that have been formed since the 1500’s. Protestantism  are the branches of that tree. There should be no argument that the tree is  the system of the Institutional Church. So in this context, you can also clarify that the Body of Christ is not the Institutional Church where believers gather together for Sunday morning worship. So it will be relatively easy  to distinguish the difference between the Body of Christ and the Institutional Church. It follows that  you should be able to get agreement that  the body of Christ consists of every born again person who ever lived, who’s living now, and who ever will live. Clearly,  the body of Christ and  the institution of church and religion are not the same.

Once these matters are clarified, then continue to interpret  the mustard seed  parable.  Next consider the birds, nestling in the branches. Now you can make the point  that the non-Catholic denominations have the devil as well as the Catholics.   The trunk is the Catholic church! The people who started the Protestant churches were  themselves  originally Catholics,  believers  who left Catholicism who started a whole new branch of religion. Your major point is this.   The Catholics are the trunk of the tree and  Protestants are the branches. . In the Protestants we have the denominations and the non-denominations. Simple. Keep it simple.

Now, some believe  that the Catholic church is of God , but it’s the branches that spoiled things. Others believe  that God set up the branches , therefore  it’s the Catholic church that is demonic.  “Oh, forget about the Catholics, they’re all  about witchcraft, with their worshipping the saints and all that, they bigtime got the devil. But the denominations, I mean, these are the ones, this is the true church.” No. Make it plain that one comes out of the other. In fact, there is a movement going forth today to unite the Protestants back with the Catholics.

Then ask the question, ” who are the birds?”  THE ANSWER TO THIS QUESTION IS EXTREMELY IMPORTANT!!!!

Once  Jesus used a symbol, it makes sense that the symbol  will have a similar meaning when  He uses it again. In Matthew 13, known as the parable of the Sower,  the Lord is metaphorically discussing the reasons why some hearers of the word do not become  born again.  Jesus shared that the one who hears the word by the wayside do not become born again because the birds come and eat the seed.  Later on in that chapter, the Lord interprets His parable to the apostles, revealing that the birds are wicked beings. They are evil spirits: fallen angels and demons.

So, go back and look at the mustard seed parable concerning the birds in the branches of the institutional church system. Keeping things simple, if the birds were demons in the parable of the Sower , than Jesus is  giving us a clue that the birds up in the branches of the mustard seed parable are evil spirits  also. So if the birds up in the branches are demons. believe me, the Catholic church is also run by fallen angels. In other words, in His office as a Prophet,  the Lord revealed that Fallen angels and demons would one day be  in control of  the Institutional Church.

Perhaps you will be asked if you believe  God ever been involved with Institutional  Church? To answer this question  refer to the  first two or three chapters of the book of Revelation, where a message is sent from the Lord , not to the church, but to the angel of the church. Clearly,  God’s  angels play an important role in the operation of the Institutional Church, and seeing as it was a Roman emperor–Constantine— who started the Institutional Church in 313AD, it doesn’t take too much common sense to realize that the angels who are in control of the Institutional Church today are fallen, they’re not God’s angels.

From the book of Revelation, God’s angels were involved in the churches at  Ephesus, Smyrna, and Philadelphia.  For example,  point out that the Churches at Pergamos and Thyatira   reads a lot like the Catholic Church as Laodicea clearly represents the Protestant churches of  our times. So it would be beneficial if you spent with those seven letters.

Churchgoers, both traditional and charismatic tend to leap from topic to topic.  In this case, you must stay focused by making only a few points. .  The major point you should make is God’s relationship to the institutional church according to the words of Jesus in His parables and in the book of Revelation. The average committed churchgoer is going to defend THEIR local  church and their pastor, with defenses like  “oh, well my church doesn’t do what these charismatic churches do, they don’t ask for tithes, they don’t teach this, they don’t teach that.”

You have to point out that certainly there are righteous, sincere people in some of the churches, both pastors and laity. The question is “Do you want to be in a church that regardless of how committed and faithful the people seem, their organization is run by fallen angels and demons?”  The birds in the branches is the bottom-line to consider!  Until a religious, deceived person comes to the realization that Satan, the god of this world, is in control of their beloved church edifice and system , is it really safe to worship there?  The next question to address is “what about the plagues that the Lord mentions in Rev 18:4 when He warns “Come out of Her My People, less you partake of Her sins and receive of Her plagues.”

In fact, where are God’s people for the most part?  Let the churchgoer answer that question.   The very first place even an atheist will think of is “the Institutional Churches. “

This is all very simple.  The enemy keeps the confusion complicated so that churchgoers will protest with all kinds of explanations, rationalizations  and excuses for continuing to do what the Lord has warned them not to do.

The Fall From Grace of Mega Preachers:The People vs Joel Osteen

9 Sep

unnamed

Right on the heels of the Charlottesville riots, Hurricane Harvey made landfall near Rockport, Texas bringing with it death and the loss of property. One of the major headlines concerning this natural disaster had to do with Joel Osteen,  a prominent, mega-preacher in Texas who sent a tweet stating that he and his wife will pray for the those affected. The backlash started almost immediately on alot of social media platforms. Many  tweets, memes, videos were posted where people were berating Joel and demanding more than “prayers” from him.

Joel Osteen and Lakewood Church are experiencing a PR nightmare, we have seen corporations that have bounced back from corporate gaffes and others destroyed from it. We are yet to see how this incident will affect Joel in the long-term. The Institutional Church herein referred to as the (I.C.) is part of the world system so it uses the tactics of the world to get by, the Spirit of God is not in any of their dealings.
There are those who have shown unwavering support for Joel  but what caught my interest is that there is a substantial amount of people as seen on social media who feel one thing for mega-preachers – ANGER. Gone are the days when people would shy away from speaking against a “man of God”.After Joel’s tweet, the comments came fast & furious making it seem like people were waiting for an incident to happen so they can let loose and tell Joel what they really feel.
There are people who are mad, fuming not just at Joel but at the I.C. and at mega-preachers. In some way it felt like there was nothing Joel could do to appease the critics, the arguments started with why didn’t he open the church early to he opened the church because of the social media pressure. Any interview Joel gave was dissected to show how his efforts weren’t genuine, even his body language was being analysed to strengthen the claims that he didn’t want to be there helping people. Every thing he did was an offense.
Clearly, there are people who still love & support mega preachers but there is also another group that have become weary of mega-preachers and refuse to see any good in them. This group sees mega-preachers as scammers, Period! even acts of kindness are looked at suspiciously as many wait for the money grab to revealed sooner or later.
I have belonged to both groups of people at different times in my life. I have blindly loved and supported mega-preachers and even defended them to critics, then as the years went by I became a critic as I noticed their teachings were pseudo-deep, they embraced the world and repeatedly taught the prosperity gospel. I left the church and would watch a lot of videos exposing ministries and false preachers we have today, which are plenty. The Irony is, in both states I thought I was walking in truth but the reality was I was still deceived. I had some partial truth in that I could see some of these leaders were false teachers but I still engaged in I.C. practices & believed I was born again because I had asked Jesus into my heart, I believed in a false gospel.
.
The major spiritual problem today is not the mega preacher phenomenon or false teachers – that is just a symptom of a bigger issue . If we spent time analyzing who is a false prophet and who isn’t we would be here for days as the list is endless. Time is really of the essence so what you need to see is that the entire I.C. is condemned and the Spirit of God is not there. For those who have left the I.C., if they still engaged in religious practices or hold on to church teachings, they could still be deceived.
Pastor Pam Sheppard addresses the Spiritual problem in our time in The Church of The End Time Zombies, an excerpt reads:-
Statistics show that floods of people are leaving the I.C. daily. The question is, where are they going? It could be that many of these folk are just joining up with yet another branch of the I.C. or doing the I.C. thing at home. Opening a church in your home by teaching the same false doctrines and practices, causes your home to be just as dangerous.”
The I.C. has been taken over by fallen angels and demons, nothing good can come out of it. The Lord Jesus already prophesied the future of the I.C. in the parable of the mustard seed.
As people who are preparing for the return of the Lord Jesus, we need to understand that holding on to partial truths is just as dangerous as believing a lie. It is good to know who is a false teacher, so you can avoid their traps, but spending time studying and exposing one preacher to the next is a tedious task as there are many.
The I.C isn’t under attack by being infiltrated by false teachers, it’s actually the I.C. that creates an environment for these preachers to grow and thrive. A word from Pastor Pam concerning mega-pastors in her own personal experience.
A word of caution. The religious demon assigned to me tried to set me up to become  a false prophet.  In several dreams, he showed me standing before huge audiences, walking up and down across a platform with my bible in my hand, preaching and teaching.  He even showed me pastoring a church of about 10,000 people.  Because I sought after the power to slay in the spirit, after 10 years of seeking, I got it. I could wave my hand, and certain ones would fall out, unconscious.  However, I began to question this power because I noticed that the ones in my congregation who fell out the most, were also those who could not STAND for the Lord, relapsing or backsliding constantly.  So I said to myself, “Pam, there is something wrong with this so-called gift. This cannot be from the Holy Ghost!”  Once I prayed to the Lord and asked Him to “show me the darkness,” I got quite the wakeup call that revealed that  the mega preacher phenomena of today is NOT of the Lord.  It is a combination of human charisma, “anointed” by the enemy’s power.”
Understand the times that we live in so you wont be deceived with the spiritual blindness that’s all over, if you don’t know where to start read “The Church of the End Time Zombies”, you can get a copy at:-

Church-hopping Won’t Help When the State Controls the Church!

8 Sep

By Pastor Pam Sheppard

We know from scriptures that foretold what is now history of the need for separation of church and state.  the state is the political world.  We also know that Satan is the god of all world systems. In fact, the greatest temptation against the Lord was Satan’s offer of dominion over the world to Jesus as a bonus if only the Lord would  worship him.  So separation of church and state is an absolute mandate.  Consequently,  it should not surprise us that the coming together of church and state is a top priority for the devil.

Although we are not privy to exactly when the Lord Jesus Christ will return to earth, scripture DOES provide a rather complete picture of the state of both religious and political affairs of the season, with many metaphorical and physical signs and conditions. Although we may disagree with the order of endtime signs, the symbolic understanding of both Jezebel and the Harlot of the book of Revelation universally represent the institutional church. The IC is “that woman Jezebel who calls herself a prophetess.  She teaches and seduces the servants of God—the elect—to commit fornication with strange  gods.” (Rev 2:20)

SO Jezebel is the apostate church. So is the harlot.

When we read that the harlot, or whore who rides on the back of the Beast, the interpretation is that the IC will seek to gain power offered by the political system.  The beast is the Antichrist. For decades in our times, church leaders have sought and gained favor with local politicians by allowing candidates into their pulpits to promote themselves. In fact, pastors have successfully balanced on a legal tightrope, trying not to openly break the law by publicly endorsing any “favorites.”

The 1954 Johnson amendment legislates that any tax-exempt group can lose its exemption if it is found to have endorsed or actively opposed a candidate for political office. Actually, for decades now, the IC’s receipt of tax exempt status is in itself the blurring of the lines of separation between church and state.  Yet just a bit less than 4 months into his presidency, Trump signed an executive order that allows church leaders to openly endorse any politician of their choice, from the pulpit, now fully unhindered from riding the back of the beast.

This is just the beginning.

Expectancy, watchfulness and preparedness must be our way of life in this the 11 th hour.  If you have been paying attention to the news, there is evidence that the newly elected administration in the U.S quietly has enhanced the already blurred lines of religious and political separation,  particularly among white charismatic Christians and those who are bigots and racists.  What these bible thumpers have overlooked by their prideful, ambitious patronage is the biblical warning that in the tribulation, the governments of this world shall turn on the institution called “church” and suddenly destroy Her.

Nevertheless, the Lord comforted us 2000 years ago, by saying “Fear not!”

The time will come, when the Beast is in full power, that the institutional church will be taken over by the state and ultimately destroyed.

Where will YOU be at that time?

Church-hopping?

Witchcraft in the Church

2 Sep

As a member of RESCUE who has experienced being set free from demons, one of the things that surprised me as i went through counseling and detoxed from religion was the fact that i had engaged in witchcraft without my knowledge. Looking back I never interacted with people who engaged in witchcraft. In fact, to my knowledge,i never even read occult books or watched any occult shows. I considered such things as the worship of the devil— pure evil which i didn’t want to be associated with.

Consequently, It was shocking and humbling to discover that some of my self- righteous religious acts were no different from those of a new age practitioner . So even though I never engaged in the occult, it was shocking to discover that I learned witchcraft practices in the Institutional Church.

Witchcraft can simply be defined as the practice of magic, the use of spells and invoking spirits.

There are several ways that i was duped into witchcraft while attending an Institutional church.

Witchcraft Prayers

I owned several spiritual warfare books and recited statements that involved commanding “angels”, the stars, planets and even God. I would bind the devil and cast him back to hell. These prayers used scripture out of context. For sure, no human can command God to do anything, so to think otherwise is foolish. We lie to ourselves if we think God is at our beck and call.

To command the sun, moon, planets and stars is delusional, but to command angels has a dangerous spin to it. Gods’ angels do not accept our invitations or instructions but fallen angels do, in order for the devil to have legal right to be in your life, you have to invite him in.

My invitation to these fallen angels had severe consequences. I started suffering from demonic torment – my mind, body and soul was under constant attack. My fear grew greatly as the attacks would happen mainly at night.

During prayer meetings, people used to be manipulated to change their ways by being shamed in public prayers where intercessors would air out people’s issues. When ministers control & manipulate people’s behavior, their actions are a clear sign of witchcraft. There are many examples of how people are controlled in the church and public prayer is one of the them.

Religious Rituals

To counter the demonic torment that I suffered from, i turned to more rituals – applying anointing oil on my bed, door, windows, ceilings and on myself. Inviting the Holy Spirit to come in and fill my apartment, i played worship music and recited bible verses and prayers. None of this helped, In fact, I simply added fuel to the fire. My religious acts were also motivated by fear not faith.

Bibliomancy

I would also, seek out random passages in the Bible and apply them to my life with no regard for the context. I also used it to “decree and declare” my future and pray for certain events to occur. This practice which i was taught in the church actually comes from the Middle ages where people who practiced divination would open the bible and whichever page they landed upon, they would read out the scripture and use it to give spiritual insight into what they are looking for. I was pretty much behaving like my own psychic.

Worshipping in the flesh

The Bridal paradigm in the church has brought about the increase of love songs to Jesus which are disguised as praise and worship songs. Everytime i engaged in a worship session, i would feel warm and tingly in my chest, i assumed that these were “feelings of God’s love” overflowing in me. These experiences were short lived which caused me to depend upon an emotional roller-coaster. The more I felt unloved, the more needed to attend more worship sessions to feel loved. I’ve come to learn that love is not a feeling & more importantly the Holy Spirit does not entertain our flesh. These manifestations of “love” were all sensual and had nothing to do with the Spirit of God. True believers of the Lord Jesus have to worship in Spirit & in Truth.

In the New Idolatry, Pastor Pam Sheppard writes in detail how witchcraft has infiltrated the Institutional Church, One part that stood out to me is how a new age practitioner and a Charismatic Christian could address a similar issue using methods that many would assume are worlds apart, when in reality, they actually are similar and run parallel to each other. Below is an excerpt from the book:-

“For the sake of comparison, consider how both a new age practitioner and a Charismatic Christian would approach a typical problem, namely, a woman seeking to stop the infidelity of a lover or husband. From the occultist, the woman might be required to purchase a defense enchantment like burying her man’s shirt at full moon, while pronouncing a curse or a magic formula seven times. As the shirt wears out and disintegrates in the ground overtime, so also will the man’s love for the other woman fade and dissolve.

Both the occultists and those deceived by charismatic teachings rely on the credulity and readiness of those they counsel and advise. In like manner, charismatic witchcraft might approach this classic problem from a variety of religious perspectives, with the twist that God is made amenable to the woman’s plans. Supernatural dreams and visions labeled the discerning of spirits, a word of wisdom, a word of knowledge and prophecy, intercessory prayers of “binding and loosing” and the taking of scripture out of their natural context and applying them to the woman’s personal agenda are the primary methods of choice. In this instance, the woman might be advised to pray over her man’s side of the bed, anoint it with oil or holy water, name it and claim it by sending forth evil prayers against her man’s lover, in unsavory ways unbefitting to Jesus Christ, and pray controlling, manipulative prayers to change the man’s behavior.Rather than deal openly with the issues of infidelity, sin and spousal abuse, Charismatics are infamous for seeking “the supernatural solution.”

To my dismay, I learned, that many practices both in and out of the church that are widely accepted as normal today actually have their origins in witchcraft. I thank God for my deliverance journey that started when i reached out to Pastor Pam who walked me through the deliverance process, helped me break my false conversion and discard false teachings. I got healed from my torment once I received the truth about the Lord Jesus Christ.

Since we live in such deceptive times, you could be engaging in witchcraft practices, totally unaware. The danger in doing so is you open yourself up to the spiritual world and give demons legal rights to enter your life and run it amok.

Why the Sinners Prayer Led to the Great Falling Away

28 Aug

By Pastor Pam Sheppard

I believe that it was the traditional congregation’s invitation, of “opening the doors of the church,” that  ushered in  countless demons into the visible church system.  The founding fathers of Methodism  instituted a superior practice of placing those who seek to escape the wrath that is to come  on a probationary  membership status. The founding fathers of Methodism were wise enough to not only create a procedure to  ensure a bona fide salvation but also to protect the body from fellowship with unbelievers.  However, over time, the full enforcement of this practice became ineffective, as people were brought into permanent church status without having manifested fruits of salvation.  I personally believe that when converts can demonstrate that they are truly disciples of the Lord, then we can fellowship with them as brethren, and not before.

Yet another open door to the religious demon is the coined spiritual phrases.  A  Christian idiom most frequently expressed is  “the Lord led me.”  In a book called “Unholy Devotion,” the author aptly warns of the danger of spiritualizing:

At first glance the phrase sounds quite spiritual, but a close examination of Scripture reveals that it is not always biblical. On several occasions the phrase is used by or to describe false prophets or deceptive people. Jacob deceived his father by spiritualizing issues. Esau, Jacob’s brother, had just gone hunting. Too quickly, it seemed, Jacob, claiming to be Esau, brought the killed game to his father. “How did you find game so quickly?” Isaac asked. Having usurped Esau’s place, Jacob lied to his sick, blind father. But notice Jacob’s very ‘spiritual’ response: ‘The Lord your God gave me success.” (Gen27:20) Jacob was playing dangerous games, spiritualizing in order to manipulate someone he knew would believe such words. Jacob wasn’t a false cult leader or prophet; he was God’s own chosen servant”.

Christians often think that the seeds of heresy are found only in cults and in off-beat sects of Christianity. But John, in his first letter, and Paul, in his letter to the Ephesians, reminded us that heretical teachers are often found within the church itself. Jesus notes that the dormant seeds of heresy can be buried in the lawns of the church. In Matthew 13, Jesus tells a parable of the kingdom of heaven: The enemy sowed seeds within this kingdom. In our desire to discover and understand the doctrines of cults, we may forget that potential gardens of heresy lie within our own walls. Remember: Sun Myung Moon was raised a Presbyterian; David Berg, founder of the Children of God, was once an Evangelical pastor; Jim Jones pastored a Christian church; many leaders in the People’s Temple and Jonestown were former members of Nazarene, Roman Catholic, Baptist, Methodist and Assemblies of God Churches.” 1 (HL Bussell, pg.111)

Besides the altar call, the invitation to Christian discipleship, and the various professions of faith, there are  other  coined religious platitudes and phrases like “Jesus, come into my heart” and “I accepted Jesus into my life”  that  lead to  counterfeit births.   I myself have not been able to find any scriptures in the bible that suggest that we should ask Jesus to come into our hearts.   I believe that when the Lord says that we must abide in Him, He means that we must stay in Him without wavering, in other words,—- to continue, to dwell, to be present, to remain. This is the essence of the Greek word,  that was translated “abide” in John 15.  Accordingly, baring fruit in Christ is a manifestation of a believer continuing and remaining in Him.

Yet Satan’s plot against the organized church  actually took shape  under the ministry of a preacher called Charles Finney.

Charles Finney

Finney was quite a wicked looking man, as you can see the devil all up in his face. The man lived a long time when you consider that in his lifetime, the average live span was  from the late forties to about 65.  Finney lived tobe 83, from 1792-1875. A fiery New York preacher, Finney’s impact on church traditions and practices has been  so profound, that his influence is still spreading globally almost two centuries later.  Finney’s notoriety is that he is the one who brought the entire church the “make a decision for Christ” through repeating the sinners prayer and the altar call.  A practicing freemason for 8 years, Finney eventually disavowed if.  Yet what I have learned about freemasonry is that it is witchcraft. And you just  don’t walk away from witchcraft without a struggle.

Anyway, in a nutshell,  Finney believed that human beings were capable of choosing whether they would be corrupt by nature or redeemed, referring to original sin as an “anti-scriptural and nonsensical dogma”  In clear terms, Finney denied the notion that human beings possess a sinful nature. Therefore, if Adam leads us into sin,  he does so not by our inheriting his guilt and corruption, but by our  following his poor example, this leads logically to the view of Christ as not having died for sins but for some lofty, moralistic reason.

Well, this was the man who started the altar call, invitation to Christian discipleship, “I accept Jesus,” practice that has led to the greatest falling away—the one that Paul himself predicted would transpire.  Consequently, due to Charles Finney, souls have probably not been saved within the organized church system for at least 150 years!!!! This doctrine has  primarily affected the Protestants much  more than the Catholics. Another fallen angel, Mother Mary had a different strategy for THEM. The “make a decision, I accept Jesus gospel has so permeated all Protestant Church tradition, a problem that Baptist preacher Paul Washer is diligently trying to correct, to no avail.  Washer is correct on this score but there  are errors in his teaching as well, which is yet “another story.”  Another practice that Finney started was to use the preacher’s invitation at the end of a sermon to evoke an emotional response, in other words to create a charged up atmosphere to manipulate a false conversion.

IS POSITIVE THINKING BIBLICAL?

12 May

“For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he” Proverbs 23:7

What interpretation do you have about this verse? I was taught that this verse spoke on how I can shape my reality by what I think, that our thoughts have the power to alter our lives, and that we can make ourselves what we want to be.

But does this verse really teach about the power of our thoughts?

While detoxing from religion, one of the main things I learned  is that It’s important at all times to consider the context of a bible verse. Some factors to look into when reading the bible is  to consider who is the target audience and whether or not  the writer was speaking (referring) to someone specific . To assume that every verse written is personally directed to you is a dangerous way of reading the bible.

It’s also good to have an idea of the historical & cultural context of a particular verse. The question to ask is whether or not the passage of scripture is relevant to present day living.

Let’s look at the verse in relation to the rest of the chapter.

Proverbs 23:1-8

1. When thou sittest to eat with a ruler, consider diligently what is before thee:
2 And put a knife to thy throat, if thou be a man given to appetite.
3 Be not desirous of his dainties: for they are deceitful meat.
4 Labour not to be rich: cease from thine own wisdom.
5 Wilt thou set thine eyes upon that which is not? for riches certainly make themselves wings; they fly away as an eagle toward heaven.
6 Eat thou not the bread of him that hath an evil eye, neither desire thou his dainty meats:
7 For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he: Eat and drink, saith he to thee; but his heart is not with thee.
8 The morsel which thou hast eaten shalt thou vomit up, and lose thy sweet words.

The writer was advising someone that even though this person says “Eat & drink”, be careful not to assume that he is a generous man.  For the words coming out of his mouth may not match what’s in his heart.  why?  because “his heart is not with thee”.

Do not be fooled by the words and generous acts of someone, If  the generosity doesn’t come from the heart, then he is not a generous person. He acts a certain way because he has evil motives.

So within the context of scripture, it becomes clear that the verse has nothing to do with positive thinking or the power of the mind.  Rather, it is addressing hypocrisy. Simply put, people can outwardly act a certain way but their true character is what is in their heart.

So where did this verse get linked to power of thought?

In 1903 a book titled “As a man thinketh” was published by the author James Allen.
download (2)
James Allen was a British philosophical writer and considered a pioneer of the self-help movement in the late 1800’s and early 1900’s. His best known work is the book “As a Man Thinketh” which is likely based on the Biblical verse Proverbs 23:7 which states: “For as a man thinketh in his heart, so is he.

Some quotes from his book

“A man is literally what he thinks, his character being the complete sum of all his thoughts.”

“As a being of Power, Intelligence, and Love, and the lord of his own thoughts, man holds the key to every situation, and contains within himself that transforming and regenerative agency by which he may make himself what he wills.”

“If he will link cause and effect by patient practice and investigation….. As a means of obtaining that knowledge of himself. “He that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened”; for only by patience, practice, and ceaseless importunity can a man enter the Door of the Temple of Knowledge.”

The book primarily teaches that man is self-sufficient to transform his situations, its starts in the mind and everything else follows.

One of the deceptions that is rampant is believing everything that comes from the devil must have a negative connotation to it. If a teaching is meant to help you become better, the assumption is that there’s no way it came from the devil, based upon a belief  that the devil doesn’t want you to be the best you can be! This is not true! The devil is the author of many positive teachings that might even produce some beneficial  effects in your life. Nevertheless, that’s a part of the trap,—to make you believe you are embracing something great when you are actually been set up to be demonized.

The church has joined in teaching the power of positive thinking, notably Joel Osteen, Joyce Meyer, TD Jakes to name a few; many ministers cherry pick verses to back this false doctrine by teaching that  if people remain positive and grateful,  their situations will change for the better.

It’s alarming that the church has endorsed a teaching that originates from ripping Proverbs 23:7 completely out of context.

By their fruits, you shall know them

What fruits come from this teaching?

It denies people the opportunity to listen to the gospel – instead of people listening to the true gospel of Jesus Christ; they go to church to receive a pep talk telling them that even though they are facing challenges, they can turn it around. How will people know the gospel when they are not even hearing it to begin with? And when they do hear the gospel, it’s a different version that asks them to accept Jesus into their heart.

People are being taught techniques on how to change their thinking from negative to positive with the help of certain activities such as meditation – a practice that facilitates entrance into an altered state of consciousness (ASC). An altered state causes peoples’ chakras to be open & for demons to enter. Pastor Pam has several blogs & videos teaching on how Christians have been deceived into opening their chakras and getting demonized, you can read more on this at:-

Christians Who Open the 7 Chakras Are Demonized!

Also the topic is covered extensively in the book “The Church of the Endtime Zombies”. The link for the paperback & e-book are listed below.

bookcover_zombies

This teaching is also very focused on self & that the power to change is inside of you. Romans 3:23 states that all have fallen short, so we don’t have the power to make ourselves clean from sin, we cannot cause out spirits to be born again by positive thinking. There are some changes people can make in their lives for the better but being born again is something that only the Holy Spirit can do.

This belief in the unregenerated self has given rise to people referring to themselves as “I AM” with views that since humans are made in the image of God,  that we are little gods, another false teaching.

Reading a bible verse in its proper context is crucial in the times we live in, it’s easy to be carried away by false doctrine if you don’t question or challenge what you are taught. “As a man thinketh so is he” addresses hypocrisy not the power of our thoughts.

Free From Demonic Torment

1 Feb

A personal testimony from a RESCUE member on her journey to deliverance and freedom in Christ.

blog_47

From birth to the age of 16, i was raised in a catholic home. It wasn’t a strict catholic upbringing but we went to mass every Sunday, participated in Bible Study and confession regularly. My catholic life was dry for the most part, the only time i had a supernatural experience was one time i had to go do my confession to a priest in order for the church to give me the sacrament of confirmation which was to signify that i have been filled with the Holy Spirit and now worthy to receive the body & blood of Jesus which was the wafer and wine offered during mass.

I was dreading my walk to the church due to a number of reasons, first, I was naturally a fearful person, the church was also located in a neighborhood that wasn’t very safe, i remember my heart racing and a strong urge to not go for the confession but i thought that was the devil deterring me from being filled by the Holy Spirit. I went to the church and confessed my sins, even during confession, i lied and made up sins that i didn’t even do. The priest told me to repeat the hail mary & the Lord’s prayer several times and he declared me absolutely clean. I felt this amazing sense of peace and joy. The girl walking back home was confident and happy and sure that she had received the Holy Ghost, the truth is i didn’t by a simple teaching from Jesus, “you shall know them by their fruits.”

My feelings of joy and peace didn’t last long, there was no substantial change in my spiritual life, it was still dry and full of rituals. My fear increased greatly. I resigned myself to thinking this is how spiritual life is, many adults weren’t living holy as they claimed. I was initially exposed to hypocrisy in the church while being catholic, it used to bother me that the “spiritual giants” used to gossip and be mean to fellow church goers. I was a child and raised not to question adults so i kept this question to myself and remained troubled over it.

FALSE CONVERSION

In 2000, I was 16 and in high school where a church group visited and we were shown an “End time” movie. They later explained how many will be be-headed and suffer when they miss the rapture. We were also threatened with the prospect of dying & going to hell, where people burn forever. I panicked and rushed forward to say the sinner’s prayer which was supposed to allow Jesus to enter my heart and seal me with eternal life in heaven. I thought I received Jesus Christ of Nazareth but red flags started popping up immediately.

  1. First red flag was that I started suffering from sexual thoughts about Jesus, the thoughts felt like a blow to my mind, I would fight back to stop the thought from continuing. I suffered in silence, very embarrassed and thought i was a very lustful person. I cried for forgiveness constantly hoping God wont be angry with me.
  2. Second red flag was the constant cuss words in my mind directed towards God the Father and the Holy Spirit. One time during a prayer meeting, i felt a strong force pushing me to open my mouth and hurl obscenities, i held my mouth tight, waiting anxiously for the meeting to end so i can run out.
  3. I got a dream where i was surrounded by strange looking creatures, in the dream i realized they were demons and all of them stared at me intently, they all looked ready to attack especially one that looked like an anaconda. I wondered why they didn’t attack, but as i looked out the corner of my right eye, i saw a man dressed in white. I thought that was Jesus of Nazareth protecting me but during my counselling it became evident to me that dream was showing me the fake Jesus and his demons who have entered my life.

TORMENT

I was always a fearful person and this increased after getting “saved.” Every night i would perform a ritual of anointing myself, the bed, and room before i slept. I was afraid of death, torture, nightmares and demons attacking me while i slept. Listening to worship songs, sermons and anointing the vicinity gave some comfort but the results were short lived. I started taking sleeping pills after a family tragedy to try and get some sleep but my sleep pattern was ruined, i suffered from insomnia and constant fatigue.

Things took a turn for the worse in 2004 when I was asleep alone in my room and a spirit touched my private part. I woke up in complete shock, it felt like a complete invasion of privacy, I wasn’t safe in my own home. All the doors were locked, the windows were shut but yet i was attacked. My fear grew tremendously because the demons taunting me made me know there was more to come. I didn’t share this with anyone because i never heard other people suffering from this. I felt ashamed, embarrassed, and felt sad for myself, wondering who could help me, i prayed, read the bible, went to church but baffled as to why this was happening. I engaged in a lot of prayer meetings where we would recite Cindy Trimm prayers from her book, binding demons and releasing angels. I would feel pumped after a prayer session but as always, the feelings were short lived.

I was filled with anxiety before going to bed, making sure i slept with the lights on, slept in certain positions, played christian music hoping that i wouldst get sexually or physically assaulted. All the while i showed other people that i was as normal as i can be, yet i was falling apart on the inside.

In 2013/2014 the night visits became weekly and the demons were becoming more bold in their attacks, I’ve been slapped and had my private parts fondled. I suffered from sleep paralysis as well. By mid 2014 i finally acknowledged i was in trouble as the years of torment were adding up, also the attacks were getting more frequent and more deadly. I started to feel my mind slip and knew if i don’t get help soon, the situation will turn critical.

HOW I MET PAM SHEPPARD

I was restless, i could feel i was at a turning point in my life, a feeling like i was at the edge and almost about to fall off. I listened to more TD Jakes sermons, then moved to G Craige Lewis. My thinking was to combat demonic attacks with more religious ritual, i was so blind and couldn’t see that the more i engaged in religion, the worse the attacks became. I wrongly thought that the rituals – reading the bible, listening to sermons & christian music helped lessen the intensity of these attacks, if i stopped them, the attacks would become much worse. I was completely blind!

I always searched various christian topics on the web, i literally stumbled on Pam Sheppard’s blog and the topic was on sexual acts that would defile a marriage. I found her take on the topic interesting and it led me to read more topics she had covered on her blog. As i read her blogs about the Institutional Church (I.C.) having been taken over by fallen angels, i was shocked yet intrigued because she was answering all the questions i had while being in the church.

Through reading more posts from Pastor Pam i found a video she did on “Spirit Rape” where she spoke on women experiencing visitation from spirits which would engage in sexual acts with them, she finished the video by saying if this is happening to you, you are not born again. I tried to ignore the last part but the torment caused me to realize something is terribly wrong and its time to get some answers. I knew my time to face the truth had arrived.

EMOTIONS

For the longest time i struggled with low self esteem. I would cry for no reason and always find something to worry about and when the situation was resolved, i would look for the next issue to stress about. My emotions were determined by outside factors and other people, i bought into the labels society, family and church gave me.

Growing up in Africa as a black person, my ethnicity was never an issue. I never felt inferior as a black person. I knew what the world thinks of Africa and Africans in general but it never affected me in my day to day life. When i moved to North America, i felt my blackness and it wasn’t good, i felt inferior and any incident where someone would be rude or dismissive would affect me greatly since i wanted other people to validate me since i had no identity.

i was chained to standards set by other people e.g. Ethnic stereotypes, church views that women can’t be pastors, a woman is not valuable to society if she is not married or have children. My bias against women pastors almost led me not to listen to Pam but i stayed and listened because my torment was greater than my opinions and it humbled me to a point i was ready to listen and i thank God for making it that way otherwise my pride would have made me walk away.

DELIVERANCE PROCESS

Before i started my counselling sessions with Pam, i thought deliverance was a pastor shouting at a demon to come out as the captive manifests and rolls on the ground shouting. My view on deliverance was very different from what it really is. I watched several of Pastor Pam’s videos and read her blogs, after a couple of days i sent her an email stating that I felt i had a false conversion and needed help. I filled out a Deliverance form which helped me go down memory lane in my life and it helped me through the counselling process as Pam could look through the forms and see the doorways I had opened to the demons that were harassing me.

I learnt lot and discovered that i had a false conversion  which we broke. My will was weak and passive and needed to be built up. I also learnt of ancestral demons that affect people of African background and how to break any covenants that i would have been a part of. My biggest challenge was to stop religious rituals that i was used to, but my desire to be free was greater and the more i learnt, the more i saw what i was doing was putting me in more danger.

Pam has a huge resource through the blogs, videos, books, phone sessions and the online ministry group which i am a part of. All of these have helped me overcome so many strongholds.

RESCUE

As the Psalmist says Psalm 18:29 With your help I can advance against a troop; with my God I can scale a wall. That has been my experience with Pam Sheppard and RESCUE. I learnt how to break my false conversion, build up my free will and not allow my emotions to control my actions. Views that held me in chains for years have been broken, i know my value and i get my identity from me, not what outsiders say. I have learnt my personality and know myself better than i have in years which has led to better decision making. I have learnt how to distinguish a spiritual issue from a non-spiritual issue. The torment i suffered for years has stopped! The shame i felt was removed when i realized i had been tricked into worshiping the fake Jesus and others have suffered the same issues i faced. I’m gaining a respect for God, something i never had while religious, i look back and see he has been guiding and protecting me even when i was an idolater. I have seen God’s mercy and compassion firsthand when he led me to Pam Sheppard, his faithful servant. I have gained so much yet i am thrilled because there is more to come, I am now waiting to be born again which will happen at the Holy Spirit’s timing.

Jesus warns his people in Rev 18:4 Come out of her, my people, lest you share in her sins and lest you receive her plagues.

I have single handedly seen and experienced the plagues in the Institutional Church, my story shows God`s mercy towards to me because even though i was suffering from the plagues, i still couldn’t see that being in the I.C. was the problem. God lifted the veil during my counselling process and i finally understood why i was suffering and why i had to leave. I walk in freedom now and can fully relate to Jesus words that, `you will know the truth and it will make you free.

Eddie Long & the Church

15 Jan

eddie-long

Eddie Long declared that he was back and healed at his church during his pastoral anniversary service on Oct. 9, 2016. He also asked for church members to move forward to the pulpit and receive healing so that he could lay his hands on them. . It has now been announced that Eddie has passed away today and it was from an aggressive form of cancer. His death  will probably leave many church goers puzzled, disillusioned and needing answers wondering does God still heal? does deliverance & the power of God still exist? Why was Eddie not healed even when he claimed he was as the prosperity gospel teaches?

Deliverance, healing still occurs, people are even becoming born again BUT this is not happening in the church but outside of Her.

In Re. 18;4, the Lord Himself declared “Come Out of Her, My People.” my pastor, Pam Sheppard challenges the elect of God  to ask themselves 3 simple questions concerning the Lord’s warning, as follows:

1.  Where are “God’s People?”

Could the scriptures be referring to a particular nation or country? No. God’s people are in every nation. Even though America claims to be a Christian, people of diverse persuasions can agree on this one point, namely, that America is really NOT a Christian nation.  Let’s face it. The universal place where God’s people assemble for worship is “in the organized church.” It’s the only place that makes sense. In this day and time, without a passport and finances, who can walk out of their native country very easily and re-locate elsewhere? In truth, mass exodus from anywhere today is practically impossible. Jesus would not command us to do the impossible.

However, anywhere in the world, we can come out of the organized church by simply no longer attending.

2.  What generation of God’s people is Jesus speaking to?

Most of the book of Revelation is about the end of the church age. If the 7 churches in the book of Revelation represent chronological symbols of church ages throughout history, then Jesus is talking to the final generation, the church at Laodicea.  It’s a no-brainer that no other church era on earth could top our own generation in a claim to be “rich and in need of nothing.” (Revelation 3:17)

3.   Are we at the end of the church age?

For all intents and purposes, if we are the church at Laodicea, where those who preach the prosperity gospel actually DO brag on how rich they are, spiritual blindness is clearly and undeniably rampant. When churchgoers haven’t a clue as to the meaning of repentance, rebirth and the resurrection and therein believe that they are saved but they are not, what could be a stronger sign that “we are near or even at the end of the church age?

So if you answer in the affirmative to all 3 questions, then Jesus has spoken to YOU! He is warning you at this very moment to come out of the organized church, and if you don’t, you are going to receive of her plagues.  You don’t have to be a bible scholar, a prophet or even a rocket scientist to answer these 3 questions. Once you have your answer, then if you are a true believer in Jesus Christ, you will know, without a shadow of a doubt that you must “come out of Her.”

In a nutshell, ONE primary reason stands out above all others that should be enough for the elect to decide to come out of Her. It’s because fallen angels—religious devils—have infiltrated the entire church system. Certainly, they have no part in the true Body of Christ because the real “church” is not a building made with hands. However, through compromise and doctrinal distortions of all kinds, there is an invisible, imposter god undergirding every edifice, regardless of how sincere and faithful the leadership.

Consequently, if you are unknowingly worshiping an imposter, then you are unknowingly practicing idolatry and breaking the 10 Commandments. The punishment for idolatry is a release of the curses or “the plagues.” (Deuteronomy 28) When judgment falls, churchgoers will not be able to find the secret place of the Most High, nor abide under the shadow of the Almighty. Paul warned the Corinthians that they should “flee fornication.” In the spirit, fornication is idolatry. In the words of Klein and Spears in their book “Devils and Demons,” these co-authors offer the elect some sober and sound advice:

We need to run, not walk—-as fast as we can and as far away as we can get—from any devils and demons that masquerade as our great God of the Universe.”

Putting my interpretation of who actually is “Her” of Revelation 18:4, I have also considered several other scriptures in both testaments. For example, in the old testament, whenever the Father referred to the idolatry of the children of Israel, He used symbols of gender, with Himself as masculine and His people as feminine. In fact, God command the prophet Hosea to marry an adulterous woman to stand as a metaphorical comparison of Himself and the children of Israel’s practicing the religions of heathen nations. (Hosea 1:1-3)

Similarly, Jesus is the metaphorical Bridegroom while the elect—His people—are the Bride. In both testaments, idolatry is synonymous with fornication or sex outside of marriage. When God’s people practiced a false religion, it is written that they “went a whoring.” In the new testament, the Lord chided the first church at Ephesus with a gender based reproach when He warned “you have lost your first love.” (Rev.2:4) In response to the idolatry in the church at Thyatira, the Lord declared yet another gender based statement with “I’ll cast you into a bed and them that commit adultery with her into great tribulation, except they repent of their deeds. (Rev. 2:20-22)

There are several more examples that in themselves could be the subject of a book or two, particularly “the Songs of Solomon.” In keeping with the biblical pattern, it stands to reason that in our times, the “Her” of Revelation 18:4 is an idolatrous religion practiced predominately behind church walls.

Playing the devil’s advocate with yet another question posed in an attempt to try the spirits to see if they be of God, I asked myself the following questions: : Suppose I am completely wrong and I have absolutely misinterpreted the scriptures and the “Her” in Revelation
18:4 is really NOT the organized church? To that, my response is “I will have lost nothing because I gained absolutely nothing from the church except error and deception.”

More telling words from Pastor Pam:

As I look back in order to present my decades of spiritual history within a well known denominational system,” chapters 2 to 6 will progressively unfold that not only did the organized church have nothing at all to do with my salvation or my spiritual edification, but in fact, the entire religious system served as an enemy to my soul. A root in dry ground, I did more than merely survive. Showered with God’s grace and mercy, I actually thrived in a dark, un-nurturing place— a spiritually dangerous, hostile spiritual environment. If God Himself had not been on my side, I am convinced that I would have withered on the vine and died—spirit, soul and body.

Witchcraft in the Church:Curses and Plagues

30 Nov

preacherWe all have been lulled into a semi or fully delusional state where we are drugged into believing something we know deep down inside ‘just isn’t right.’ We just went to church and went along with the programs to get along. We didn’t want to rock the boat, so to speak, out of fear that we would be labeled ‘rebellious,’ ‘unfaithful,’ ‘unteachable,’ or a host of other names leadership likes to place on thinking people who were blessed with common sense AND wisdom to know game when they see it.

When I was a faithful pastor in the IC, I had several memorable dreams that showed me the spiritual condition of the entire IC but I misinterpreted them. I thought the dreams were pertaining to the actual church I saw, when a particular church was only intended to be representative. A symbol OF THEM ALL.

in these dreams, the pulpit and altar area were defiled with menstrual blood, feces and urine. I would also dream about toilets overflowing in the sanctuary. I did not understand those dreams until after I left the IC.

I now know that the defilement represented the plagues. For in the natural, plagues have broken out because of infectious, unclean conditions like rats and such. The unclean natural condition of a house will cause it to be condemned, boarded up. A haunted house is filled with the demons that once inhabited the dead who lived in that house. When the inhabits died, the demons came out and did not have anywhere else to go and reside unless new people rented or bought the house.

I call the IC a haunted house because it is filled with evil spirits who have taken Her over, because of the plagues. These are the seducing spirits that the Apostle Paul warned Timothy about. They are fallen angels that specialize in teaching religion. Jesus called the religious folk of his day, white washed tombs on the outside, contaminated with dead men’s bones on the inside. This is the institutional church today. It is a huge whitewashed tomb. A haunted house.

Don’t let the white washed physicality, Her stained glass beauty fool you. The spirit realm is invisible to our eyes but it still exists. In the spirit realm, every pulpit is covered in unclean blood, urine and feces, no matter how sincere the pastor or how helpful and kind are Her members.

In the last few years, I have not focused on warning people to “come out of Her.” It could be that since I have not been actively IN Her since 2004, for me its kind of “out of sight, out of mind.” However, I had some dreams this morning that brought my task back into focus.

In the first dream, I received the result of two curses that I wont go into here. I will simply say that one involved the destruction of property and the other dealt with both a ministerial and a health issue combined in a curse. In the next dream, I found myself in a church. As I am dreaming, I think “I am not supposed to be in here.” Anyway, the grand, important purpose I had before I came to this church left my memory and I was given the assignment to do the congregational prayer.

I started to pray but there was a group of women working on a project who were laughing and talking loud, distracting me from my prayer. So I stop praying and I ask them to choose between their project and my prayer. They were nasty and rude and with venom, chose their project. As I was leaving, they stood in the doorway of the church. As they reminded me of the curses of the previous dream, they boastfully took ownership and responsibility for those curses. They sneered and jeered at me and I woke up.

I was overjoyed to awake because it felt like I was in a haunted house, for real!!!

Curses are specific to an individual but plagues don’t discriminate. A plague takes down both the innocent and the guilty together, insidiously, progressively and consistently. The Lord warned that if you stay, you are a partaker of Her sins and that you will receive of Her plagues. (Rev 18:4)

Don’t say you have not been warned.

Leaving Churchianity for True Christian Fellowship by Pam Sheppard

16 Oct

Most of us in RESCUE have already come out of the institutional church. A few may be at a place where they are wrestling with the idea of coming out of the institutional church.

One of the things that is very frightening for a churchgoer contemplating leaving church is the idea that once they are out, they will be like a fish out of water. They may feel like they won’t survive without the fellowship, the ‘teaching’ (even if the teachings are false), the worship, even though it is attracting demons, have created an emotional tie to a building, where people really do not know each other, much less love each other.

One of the very real needs for ALL believers is the need to have a safe place where they can be real. Where they can confess their faults, one to another, in the fear of God.

And be healed…And be set free.

If we are all honest, we can truly say that most of the time when we went to confess our faults to others in the church, that we were condemned, ostracized, rejected…NOT restored or healed.

Which is why we have Rescue..an online christian fellowship for those who dislike churchianity; have been damaged by church, and see who church as dead and corrupt.
