Why the Sinners Prayer Led to the Great Falling Away

I believe that it was the traditional congregation’s invitation, of “opening the doors of the church,” that  ushered in  countless demons into the visible church system.  The founding fathers of Methodism  instituted a superior practice of placing those who seek to escape the wrath that is to come  on a probationary  membership status. The founding fathers of Methodism were wise enough to not only create a procedure to  ensure a bona fide salvation but also to protect the body from fellowship with unbelievers.  However, over time, the full enforcement of this practice became ineffective, as people were brought into permanent church status without having manifested fruits of salvation.  I personally believe that when converts can demonstrate that they are truly disciples of the Lord, then we can fellowship with them as brethren, and not before. 

       Yet another open door to the religious demon is the coined spiritual phrases.  A  Christian idiom most frequently expressed is  “the Lord led me.”  In a book called “Unholy Devotion,” the author aptly warns of the danger of spiritualizing:

 

   “At first glance the phrase sounds quite spiritual, but a close examination of Scripture reveals that it is not always biblical. On several occasions the phrase is used by or to describe false prophets or deceptive people. Jacob deceived his father by spiritualizing issues. Esau, Jacob’s brother, had just gone hunting. Too quickly, it seemed, Jacob, claiming to be Esau, brought the killed game to his father. “How did you find game so quickly?” Isaac asked. Having usurped Esau’s place, Jacob lied to his sick, blind father. But notice Jacob’s very ‘spiritual’ response: ‘The Lord your God gave me success.” (Gen27:20) Jacob was playing dangerous games, spiritualizing in order to manipulate someone he knew would believe such words. Jacob wasn’t a false cult leader or prophet; he was God’s own chosen servant”.

“Christians often think that the seeds of heresy are found only in cults and in off-beat sects of Christianity. But John, in his first letter, and Paul, in his letter to the Ephesians, reminded us that heretical teachers are often found within the church itself. Jesus notes that the dormant seeds of heresy can be buried in the lawns of the church. In Matthew 13, Jesus tells a parable of the kingdom of heaven: The enemy sowed seeds within this kingdom. In our desire to discover and understand the doctrines of cults, we may forget that potential gardens of heresy lie within our own walls. Remember: Sun Myung Moon was raised a Presbyterian; David Berg, founder of the Children of God, was once an Evangelical pastor; Jim Jones pastored a Christian church; many leaders in the People’s Temple and Jonestown were former members of Nazarene, Roman Catholic, Baptist, Methodist and Assemblies of God Churches.” 1 (HL Bussell, pg.111)

 

 

      Besides the altar call, the invitation to Christian discipleship, and the various professions of faith, there are  other  coined religious platitudes and phrases like “Jesus, come into my heart” and “I accepted Jesus into my life”  that  lead to  counterfeit births.   I myself have not been able to find any scriptures in the bible that suggest that we should ask Jesus to come into our hearts.   I believe that when the Lord says that we must abide in Him, He means that we must stay in Him without wavering, in other words,—- to continue, to dwell, to be present, to remain. This is the essence of the Greek word,  that was translated “abide” in John 15.  Accordingly, baring fruit in Christ is a manifestation of a believer continuing and remaining in Him.

Yet Satan’s plot against the organized church  actually took shape  under the ministry of a preacher called Charles Finney.

Charles Finney

Finney was quite a wicked looking man, as you can see the devil all up in his face. The man lived a long time when you consider that in his lifetime, the average live span was  from the late forties to about 65.  Finney lived tobe 83, from 1792-1875. A fiery New York preacher, Finney’s impact on church traditions and practices has been  so profound, that his influence is still spreading globally almost two centuries later.  Finney’s notoriety is that he is the one who brought the entire church the “make a decision for Christ” through repeating the sinners prayer and the altar call.  A practicing freemason for 8 years, Finney eventually disavowed if.  Yet what I have learned about freemasonry is that it is witchcraft. And you just  don’t walk away from witchcraft without a struggle.

Anyway, in a nutshell,  Finney believed that human beings were capable of choosing whether they would be corrupt by nature or redeemed, referring to original sin as an “anti-scriptural and nonsensical dogma”  In clear terms, Finney denied the notion that human beings possess a sinful nature. Therefore, if Adam leads us into sin,  he does so not by our inheriting his guilt and corruption, but by our  following his poor example, this leads logically to the view of Christ as not having died for sins but for some lofty, moralistic reason.

Well, this was the man who started the altar call, invitation to Christian discipleship, “I accept Jesus,” practice that has led to the greatest falling away—the one that Paul himself predicted would transpire.  Consequently, due to Charles Finney, souls have probably not been saved within the organized church system for at least 150 years!!!! This doctrine has  primarily affected the Protestants much  more than the Catholics. Another fallen angel, Mother Mary had a different strategy for THEM. The “make a decision, I accept Jesus gospel has so permeated all Protestant Church tradition, a problem that Baptist preacher Paul Washer is diligently trying to correct, to no avail.  Washer is correct on this score but there  are errors in his teaching as well, which is yet “another story.”  Another practice that Finney started was to use the preacher’s invitation at the end of a sermon to evoke an emotional response, in other words to create a charged up atmosphere to manipulate a false conversion.

Why Demonic Torment?

The Bible tells us that there would come a time when the entire world would be under the sway of the evil one.

That time is NOW!  So before I waste my time confronting demons on a captive’s behalf, I have to find out “what is the captive doing and believing that has opened the door to the influence of demonic spirits?” If the captive lacks knowledge of how his own problem began and how he is continuing to hinder himself, how can the source of his problem be recognized? My goal with pre-deliverance mentoring is to close the doorways the captive has opened and KEEP THEM CLOSED!!!!

Some people accept torment as “suffering for the Lord”, yet they ain’t even saved. The truth is that  I would know nothing of demonic torment if it were not for hundreds of captives  with false conversions who have sought me to cast out tormenting demons.

From the positive side, torment has a meaning.  Torment is a sign to the victim that he or she is not saved. Why? Because those whom God has saved have been given peace, and not a spirit of fear or torment.   Nevertheless, torment also is allowed by God because He wants the tormented one  to realize that something is wrong.  And since He allows the enemy to do this to a person who has had a false conversion, it is all a sign that God truly intends to save him or her.

Sometimes a victim is tormented because the gods of their non-Christian religion,  are outraged that their victim decided to go to church and “accept Jesus.” Often “offered to the gods” by their parents, the occult/witchcraft demons stand on their covenant rights, ie. “His parents gave him to US!” On the other hand,  The religious demon stands on “well, I was asked to come into his heart, so I have a contract as well. He gave himself to us and invited us in, by his own free will.””   The victim is viewed by occult demons as a traitor for joining up with a religious demon and the IC. . The fight over the victim  between the occult/witchcraft spirit and the religious demon has its battleground in the soul and body of the victim, experienced as torment. Africans, Asians and Indians who convert to Christianity yet they had a false conversion are likely to be tormented.

Look at it like this.  The enemy may know that even though you are not saved NOW, that you shall BE a devout, strong believer once born again. Consequently the  religious demon assigned may be targeting  you with strong torment while he still  has a chance.

UNCOVERING STRONGHOLDS IN DELIVERANCE

UNCOVERING STRONGHOLDS

A stumblingblock is an interconnection of a person(s), a place or surrounding, an event, a personality defect or a thing that demons continue to employ to cause the captive to fall. Often there is something in the captive’s personality or character that draws him either by attraction or seduction to perform an act that proves to be detrimental, by acting as a doorway for particular demons.Usually the stronghold is upheld by a particular sin, serving as a stimulator to the weight that continues to beset the captive.

A stronghold may consist of one demon or a constellation of demons. The bigger the stronghold, the more unproductive theclient’s spiritual life will be.Upon searching for strongholds, you should prepare the captive to face them squarely by recognizing factors and issues that may lie in either his subconscious or even the unconscious mind. In this regard, dream interpretation will be an important tool in uncovering subliminal strongholds. As a deliverance counselor, you should seek the Lord in prayer, asking Him to uncover that which is hidden so that the captive can receive a powerful insight that might be earth shattering. For example, consider a captive who was raised in the church. She strongly believes that she is saved because of her church affiliation and the fact that she speaks in tongues. The captive in this example never suspected that her inability to contend with demons is because she never got saved while attending church. However, the Lord has revealed to you that He has allowed the demons to torment her because her eternal salvation was in the balance. In other words, the torment drove the captive to you for help, so that the Lord could open up the captive’s eyes so that she could perceive her true spiritual condition.

Some captives are very invested in maintaining the power of their stronghold, even though they would like to be relieved from torment. Consider a person who is out on the ledge of a highrise apartment house, trying to get into the window of her apartment which is several feet to the left of her. In order to reach her destination, she must avoid looking down or to the right to avoid getting dizzy or distracted and end up falling to her death. Similarly, a person bound by a stronghold may try to avoid any deviation from his usual patterns for fear that  he may fall. The course that the captive has developed over time consists of unconscious defense mechanisms, designed on a subliminal level to keep the captive on his path, even though the captive would agree that the path he has chosen is destructive.

As an example, a female captive who is dependent upon an abusive partner will be hindered from making any independent moves of her own. As such, those in the bondage to a stronghold most likely lack spontaneity of feeling, thought and/ or willpower, making his soul weak and unstable. Each stronghold will create a specific  fear or doubt as well as an accompanying behavior of his self concept and pride system. Captives who are in bondage to their own self-created stronghold will often attribute the strength of the stronghold to demons, when in fact, casting out the demons will not bring any relief. In a case of this kind, the stronghold is embedded in the captive’s personality defect. The demons take advantage of the personality defect.  So through deliverance counseling, it is imperative to deal with the personality defect prior to casting out demons, for the will eventually return.  Deal with the defect, and don’t be surprised if the demon walks away on its own.

Nephilim—Have They Returned?

An Excerpt from “the New Idolatry.”

JESUS  predicted that endtimes would be like the days of Noah.  Beside the flood, the most outstanding feature of Noah’s day was the reason for the flood as revealed in Genesis Chapter 6–namely that fallen angels found a way to have sex with human women and they produced an offering known as the giants, aka the Nephilim. When all is said and done, if we accept the Book of Enoch, the spirit beings who specialize in sex with human beings are not evil spirits or demons but fallen angels who are NOT human and who have never been human..

Here is a passage taken from the book of Enoch:

Ch. 18:10 And I saw a great abyss of the earth, with pillars of heavenly fire, and I saw among them fiery pillars of Heaven, which were falling.

11 And as regards both height and depth, they were immeasurable.

12 And beyond that abyss I saw a place which had no firmament of heaven above, and no firmly founded earth beneath: there was no water on it, and no birds,

12 But it was a desert and a horrible place. I saw there seven stars like great burning mountains

13 And an angel questioned me regarding them. The angel said: “This place is the end of heaven and earth.

14 This has become a prison for the stars and the host of heaven. And the stars which roll over the fire are they which have transgressed the commandment of the Lord in the beginning of their rising, because they did not come out at their proper times.

15 And He was angry with them, and bound them until the time when their guilt should be consummated even for ten thousand years.

Chapter 19: 1: And Uriel said to me: The angels who have had sex with women shall stand here, and their spirits, having assumed many different forms, are defiling mankind and shall lead them astray into sacrificing to demons as gods, here shall they stand, until the day of the great judgment in which they shall be judged and are made an end of.

2 And the women also who went astray shall become sirens.

3 And I, Enoch, alone saw the vision, the ends of all things: and no man shall see as I have seen.

In summary, the book of Enoch reports of the union of angels and humans resulting in bloodthirsty giants who scar the earth and abuse its inhabitants. The angels, or watchers as they are called, also contributed to humanity’s decline in Noah’s day by introducing all sorts of forbidden arts. Although these angels come to be imprisoned at the ends of the earth, their spirits continue to wreak havoc by inciting humans to commit idolatry (see 1 En. 19:1). Yet what of the women who associated with the watchers? As if an afterthought, 1 En. 19:2 briefly recounts the fate of these women as well. According to the Greek manuscript tradition, the wives of the angels who transgressed are to become sirens, mythological creatures often associated with seduction. Perhaps this is what is called “incubus.”

The book of Enoch and the Bible indicate that the angels who had sex with women are imprisoned forever. They shall not ascend into heaven again for all eternity, and they are bound on earth for all eternity. (Enoch Ch 14: 5) So if these angels are bound forever, then who are the entities who are having sex with women today?

I believe the answer is in Enoch, Ch 19:1, namely, the jailed angels have the capacity to “take on many forms.” Therefore, though jailed, they can still “transport” their spirits similar to what occultist refer to as “astral travel.”

For those who do no not accept the veracity of the Book of Enoch, I can think of a few other possibilities. .For example, perhaps more of God’s angels have fallen from heaven in modern times, long after the bible was written and published. Nevertheless, from a biblical perspective emerges yet another possibility. Since there is an indication that the abyss will be opened in the last days and entities referred to as locusts will ascend upwards from the bottomless pit in the last generation., perhaps the pit has already been opened.

Revelation 9:1 The fifth angel sounded his trumpet, and I saw a star that had fallen from the sky to the earth. The star was given the key to the shaft of the Abyss.

2 When he opened the Abyss, smoke rose from it like the smoke from a gigantic furnace. The sun and sky were darkened by the smoke from the Abyss.

Yet another possibility, as depicted in Revelation 12, the war in heaven may have already taken place and Satan may no longer be in the heavens but he is now only able to roam about on earth. Likewise, when Satan is kicked out of the heavens, so are his angels. Surely, among Satan’s angels are those who, like their predecessors in Noah’s time, lust after women and have sex with them while the women have entered into passivity, facilitated by an altered state of consciousness. This is a potentially viable possibility, since most of the women who report a sexual encounter indicate that it happened at bedtime when they were half sleep and half awake. Nevertheless, my theories lead to the conclusion that spirits that engage in sex with women are NOT DEMONS.

So who are they? I believe that they are the very same fallen angels though bound in hell, remain capable of astral projecting one of their numerous forms into the bedrooms of Christian women. If you have experienced spirit rape, help is available.  Call 518-477-5759

The Seven Chakras in Man and Woman

The Dangers of Opening the  7 Chakras

Those who have practiced meditation, yoga and who have submitted themselves to various chakra initiations within Eastern belief systems have unknowingly  opened themselves to scores of demons. If you are a practicing Christian  and you are experiencing various energy pulls, shifts, sensations of heaviness, heat and cold, if you find yourself frequently out of control of various body parts, bodily functions  and/or  other manifestations, you are experiencing the outward signs that suggest that you need to be delivered “inside” your spiritual body. Here is why. You have made an invitation to Hindu gods, aka, evil spirits aka demons and fallen angels. Here is a summary of “what has happened.”

              The 7 demonic gateways or doorways

There are seven psychic gates  in the human body that occultists call chakras: The crown of the head,  the forehead between the eyes called the 3rd eye, the throat, the heart,  the navel, the sex organs and the anus. In his testimony, former  grandmaster occultist, “Eric” revealed that these 7 openings are sealed  by God and opened by man through sin.  When they are opened, spirits are  able to pass through these gates or doorways, several at a time.

About  5 years ago, I counseled a very religious man, an Asian who had been  dedicated as a child to Hindu gods, converted as an adult to  Christianity, studying to be a minister in seminary and a member of a  7th day Adventist church. He came to me because he was hearing  condemning, accusatory voices throughout each day.  In counseling we  discovered that “James” was not saved. James has been a long time  practitioner of yoga, a spiritual discipline whose goals are to “open  the 7 gateways.” James’s gateways were wide open. The Lord gave James a  dream, showing him that over each chakra, sat a Hindu deity, aka a  demon–as follows:

7. The crown—Shiva   6. The Third Eye—Hakini  5. the Throat—Savashiva

4. The Heart—Isha  3.  the Navel—Vahni 2. The sex organs Vishnu and Rakini,

1. The Anus—Brahma.

During  the  telephone deliverance session, James discerned that scores of  demons were running in and out of each of his gates.  So to stop this, I  had to close the gates by casting out each of the 7 deities. Calling  them by their Hindu names, one by one, they came out roaring, cursing,  screaming and speaking in tongues.  By the way, James had never spoken  in tongues, other than in the  session.

This was a unique  deliverance.  I had never heard of any such thing before or since.  However, after reading what Eric had to say, I will certainly perform  this ritual with others. James was not only delivered of the torment,  but all of his religiosity completely disappeared.

Eric reports  in his book that he has projected himself into the bodies of weak  pastors through the first gateway, the anus. When “inside”, he would  evaluate the pastor’s spiritual power through his aura, a feat that Eric  accomplished in two minutes. If the aura is a certain color, then Eric  knows the person is weak in faith. In most cases, the power of the  pastor was weak because of fornication. In his own words, “There are  many men, women, boys and girls who are ravening wolves or agents of  different demons, operating in different churches all over the world.  Women and girls are more in this connection then men. The presence of  such agents in Christian churches will always guide astral spirits on  how to advance their manipulations against Christians.”

According to Eric, the sins that open the 7 gates are:

1. sexual intercourse with a demon in a dream or sex with a prostitute

2. drugs

3. visiting a fortune-teller

4. receiving healing through occult powers

5. reading occult books.

6.  Anger. (By anger, demons transmit certain diseases or sicknesses.  Demons will manipulate people to seek solutions from witches and  occultist—a psychic healer–who himself is an agent of demons in  disguise.

This is no surprise to me. Our Deliverance Assessment  Form gleans this kind of information from clients.  What Eric confirms   is that human spirits, witches and warlocks, and people skilled  in astral travel can enter into one or more of the 7 gates with their  own spirits, and function as if they were a demon spirit. Now I  understand why the Holy Spirit has often led me to call the spirit by  name—a mother, father, relative, rapist, any human being who has put  my client into bondage. In my deliverance counseling practice, I have had success with not only casting out demons but also casting out human spirits from a captive to a demonic soul tie.

How the Fear of Making Mistakes Hinders Deliverance

Mistakes and Deliverance

It has been my experience that the doorway UNKNOWINGLY left wide open to demonic torment is a captive’s fear of ever making a mistake. Demons take great pleasure in tormenting people who they can control with criticism, shame and accusation. As a deliverance counselor, I realize that for each captive, there is a different root cause. For the most part, a fear of making a mistake comes from how you were raised. Those who have been under the authority of extremely judgmental, critical parenting are inclined to either become passive or aggressive in their response to this fear.

The passive ones try to “always be correct and proper” because they are afraid of suffering the consequences that judgmental parenting brings. On my web caseload over the last 9 years, those who are constantly hearing critical, accusing voices in their minds have been raised by critical, judgmental parents. Perfectionism in passive people also leads them to be ardent people pleasers–a breeding ground for depression.

The aggressive folks tend to become the rebels of the world who often seem to make mistakes on purpose and by design because they simply enjoy annoying people. In other words, “if you made me the black sheep of the family, I’m going to play that role with style and gusto! If you told me when I was 10 years old that I am going to be no good, just like my father, well, I am going to be “my father” to the 25th power. So watch me, Mom, as I go through the revolving prison door of recidivism. Watch me and suffer Mom, because you have tried to frame me with a fear of being like a Dad that I didn’t even know, because of you and YOUR failures!

Here is another pattern. January 2 of every year  could be renamed “Get Rid of the Fat Day. There are unseen reasons why some of us got fat. Here is the scenario for the rebel:  ” If you have called me “fat” all of my life when I was not fat but voluptuous and my sensuality disturbed you, Mom—-I am REALLY going to become fat just to show you what FAT REALLY IS AND that I don’t care what you think of my body type!!!!”

Scenarios like these are often played out on a sub-conscious level. Anytime you don’t know who you are and why you are behaving the way that you do, you are a prime target for demonic interference. As a deliverance counselor, this is the reason  why I am less concerned about whether or not you ever experimented with the occult or drugs than I am about how you deal with “making mistakes.” It does not take a great deal of education to become a great learner. Learning involves listening and mimicking. Even if we can’t read or write, life itself is going to teach us something!!!” If you have never made a mistake then you have not learned very much.

For the Christian in particular, God designs the lessons of life disguised in the form of obstacles, mistakes and difficulties through a maze of trials, tribulations, troubles and tests. Why? Because the Christian walk in the spirit by faith in God alone is what earns us our eternal crowns. Without any ashes, there is no beauty. Without failure, there is no glory. Without falling, we really don’t know how to stand. We are sinners who must totally rely on the Holy Spirit’s leading in order to please a perfect God. He is pleased when we can resist the pride of our sinful nature and embrace our ashes.

I was born 68 years ago. I was born again  almost 35 years ago. All I have to give to God is a life of mistakes and failures. These are my infirmities, and like Paul, I actually glory in them. I know that I glory in them because when I speak or write about my mistakes, I have no inner pulling of sorrow, shame or regret in my heart. I know that I glory in them because I give practically no thought or expression to the things that man would consider successful accomplishments. I glory in my mistakes because I have come to know that the power of Jesus Christ of Nazareth is all over me when I can acknowledge my own weaknesses.

There is a difference between making a mistake and being a mistake. If I am in Christ, then I am not a mistake. On the contrary, if I rely on “self,” then I am functioning as a mistake. What the bible confirms is that God did not believe that I was a mistake or I would not be here. God does not believe that YOU are a mistake or YOU would not be here either. When we begin to see even an iota of how big and all-consuming God is, then we will stop worrying about our mistakes and the demons that are assigned to us will be bound and gagged.

Twenty eight years ago, I committed a serious sin that brought about its consequences and its ramifications. On last Friday, the religious demon assigned to me sent me a dream that showed me committing the exact same sin and “loving it.” Demons rarely accuse me of sin because they know that I don’t receive or respond to their guilt trips. However, THIS time, they “got me good” because the dream disturbed at least half of my day. The dream was a mockery. What I found offensive is that I was shown that I still have the desire to do the exact same thing, a sin that would be extremely hurtful to God as well as to other people whom I would certainly hurt.

Do I have the desire to commit the sin again? Absolutely not. Would I do so if tempted? Absolutely not. However, here is the truth of it. The flesh DOES NOT CHANGE! In my flesh, I am STILL capable of committing the exact same sin TODAY!!! Yet, though I am capable, I WILL not do it. Why not? Because I don’t walk in the flesh. I walk in the spirit. And because of Jesus Christ, the desires of my heart and my spirit HAVE CHANGED. There is NO CONDEMNATION TO THOSE WHO ARE IN CHRIST JESUS.

You see, Brethren, Christians who are afraid of making mistakes focus on self-righteousness and not on the righteousness of God in Christ. They are not looking to the cross. They are looking to self. They are trying to please God just as they tried to please their earthly parents. Yet our understanding and practice of perfection is totally different from God’s as it pertains to His people. Take Job, as our classic biblical example. He was as perfect as man can get, pleasing to God, yet prior to Calvary.

That was Job’s problem. He was toooo perfect. He had no mistakes to draw from. Without the mistakes, Job really did not know God very well. Once God allowed the devil to attack Job, Job’s hidden mistakes were revealed. He was focused on “self-righteousness. The true nature of God was also revealed. Once confronted by his religious friends, Job became defensive. Defensiveness is an outgrowth of pride. If you are defensive, then even the very thought of making a mistake becomes a bondage to you. On the real, face it. Mistakes are part of our lives and we will keep making mistakes till our last breath. A Depressed Christian? It Should Not Be!

According to Hebrews 4, entering the Lord’s rest is labor or in other words “work.” If you want to overcome the blues, it’s a struggle and  you have to “work at it!”

Yet, the irony is that we enter in by “ceasing from our own works.”  I believe that  we struggle or “labor”  to enter in for one main reason.   The enemy knows that in order to keep us defeated, he has to block our way by  stealing  both our joy, peace and our rest. So strategically, demonic entities have   designed three main  styles of deception.  Demons revel in depression, oppression and vexation of spirit because these three (3) emotional conditions are open doors to relapse during the restoration process.

Depression is spiritually nurtured by a poor sense of esteem, dissatisfaction, and alienation–each rooted in a lack of patience.  Evil spirits thrive on the three “d’s” of doubt, disappointment and despair to lower our physical energy and vitality. Their method is to entangle weeds of negative thoughts, emotions and attitudes into a stronghold or spiritual underground root system that develops into a solid fortress or base of operation from which demons can function unhindered.

Condemnation and accusations are central to the guilt experienced by the depressed.  Oppression brings a sense of being smothered or weighed down with the burdens of a troubled, problematic life.  In such cases, the demon assigned to oppress you is by metaphor a “monkey on your back”, hovering around and pressing you down with a persistent attack, until your spiritual back breaks and you fall or “relapse” into depression.  At  both sudden and shocking, the demon will apply a steady and relentless attack with persecution and disarming calamities of all sorts.

Vexation of spirit ALSO takes several forms.  Restlessness can lead to a feeling of annoyance or irritability.  In this regard, evil spirits will employ sequentially ordered petty harassments to cause worry and a disquieted state, akin to mild or even acute stages of paranoia.  In the mental realm, vexation also brings confusion and disorientation.  The demonic weapons of choice are fear and intimidation.  Demons will use others close to us to create situations that incite our emotions.  The agitation we feel may become so intense that we might literally react compulsively and consequently lose control.

Attempting to control ourselves  with human will power alone is an exhausting struggle  that Satan will ultimately win.  We need to humble ourselves to the fact that human will power cannot outlast Satan’s power.  However,  when we are able to rest in Christ by ceasing from our own works,  the Holy Spirit  empowers our spirits with strength that exceeds the capacity of our will.  Ceasing from our own works  will enable us to walk in the spirit and not fulfill the lust of our flesh. You will find that you will enter into  peace and rest without much effort because you have sought the kingdom and found righteousness.

The evil spirit’s goal is to take advantage of  and condemn you for what you have been trained to perceive as  past failures, coupled with  worry and fear over the consequences you may face for your actions, causing you to cry over spilt milk.  The demons are skilled at maneuvering  the perceived failures  to motivate a setback. My word of hope to you for the New Year is to let you know that a perceived failure is just another opportunity to struggle to “enter into His rest.” Once you’ve entered, the struggle is over! Breaking Demonic Soulties

Does a family member manipulate you? Are you easily controlled and dominated? Are you free to be all that the Lord intends for you to be? Much demonic bondage is formed in childhood. For example, if a parent is manipulative, dominating and controlling, a spirit of witchcraft can enter, perhaps as a root of rejection. (Ex 2o:5)

A soul tie is the knitting together of two or more souls that can either bring tremendous blessing in a godly relationship or pervasive destruction. In a destructive soul tie, the will of the captive or victim is un-naturally affected by the stronger will of another,–the abuser or perpetrator— where the captive’s thoughts, emotions, and actions are no longer his or her own. Since we all form soulties with parents, family and other authority figures, no one is exempt from what I call “soul stealing.”  Here are some signs of soul stealing through an unholy soul tie:

  • Irrational thinking.  You act and do things that don’t make sense.  In such cases, you consistently evaluate your present circumstances according to a previous context–connected to some abuse you endured in the past.
  • You consistently lack joy and peace.
  • You are attracted to people who hurt you.
  • Your relationships are rarely mutually beneficial and you are always left with the short end of the stick.
  • You are often the one in bondage in a relationship.  You are the giver and your partner is always the taker.
  • You allow family members and friends to cause you to violate your own conscience and principles
  • You are easily maneuvered or manipulated by the negative emotions of others, ie their anger, temper, guilt trips and outbursts.

You can’t always run from folk, especially parents, spouses and family members. I have found that the solution is twofold: you must first learn how to govern your own emotions and reactions,  by building up your free will and self authority and then you need for someone like me to cast out that persons spirit from you as if it were a demon. As quiet as it is kept, it is actually  an unseen demon that has helped the aggressor to snatch your soul and en-trap you into a demonic soul tie that the world calls “a co-dependent relationship.”. The demonic or ungodly soul tie is like an invisible rope between you and the perpetrator.  I write about it in more detail in “Faces of the Religious Demon.”  Here is a brief excerpt.

“Counseling should place emphasis on no regrets or brooding over things done and undone. To avoid irrational thinking, the captive must re-learn through counseling, how to discern for himself if he is simply ‘thinking,’ or is he being drawn into a state of regretting or brooding,  Victory in deliverance necessitates victory over the past, in spite of all its failures. the failures should be dealt with on the basis of I John 1:9. Furthermore, the captive need to learn how to discern his or her own thoughts from those implanted into his mind by demons who use the perpetrator “as a voice.”
