Becoming Deception Proof: Doubt and Question!

26 Jun

Just because a person is born again does not make them “deception proof.”

Pam Sheppard, Author and Pastor

The Lord would not have warned His disciples to “take heed and be not deceived” if there was no danger that they could be deceived. It does not matter how many things you are or were deceived about. For 25 years, I was deceived about a few things in comparison to what other churchgoers were deceived about. Yet the Holy Spirit did not release me from the deception until He was ready to. He simply stepped in when He chose the time to be right and started unravelling things.  Why?  Because I began to both doubt and question religious teachings and practices.

What I continue to  remain cautious about is this. Just because I am undeceived NOW, does not mean that it is impossible for me to be deceived again. For me to think otherwise would be both pride and arrogance and I do not want God to resist me.

So what is deception?

Deception has to do with thoughts in the mind. Simply put, we believe a lie or a half truth. The worst of it is the assumptions. or if you start off with even one little wrong assumption, everything else falls like dominos.
Recently , I watched how a person can start out with truth and how the enemy can use the very truth they have received and lead them into a lie. What happens is that the enemy takes advantage of our misconception of truth. He also uses the weaknesses of our personalities to lead us into believing what suits us best.

This realization has humbled  me quite a bit. I believe that once we are given truth, we have to seek God in prayer to help us not to misunderstand truth, for our conception of truth may cause us to be deceived.

So my question is “how do we make ourselves fool-proofed to deception?”

I think we can all answer this from experience. just examined how we got deceived, what was it about us that caused us to be open to the deception, and how did we come out of it?

I was deceived because of my lack of knowledge of how the enemy works and how God works. I also had no knowledge of church history. My assumptions were off. For, example, I thought everything supernatural was from God. I also looked to mega preachers for answers, ignorant of the fact that those who I sought for answers were deceived themselves.

I did not become undeceived until I began to doubt and question religious beliefs and practices. People think that doubting is like wavering.  Wavering is being tossed to and fro, filled with confusion. Doubting on the other hand is what is necessary to reach the truth. In other words,   it’s our capacity to doubt and question that makes us free.

When I was in the institutional church, I did not doubt.  I was very sure of key  things that were wrong.  For example, I never doubted slain in the spirit.   Without doubt, then you will make assumptions. So I assumed that slain in the spirit was a good thing and I lusted after it.  Once I got it, then doubt set in.

Doubt caused me to ask questions. For example, I asked myself while a pastor, ‘Why is it that the people who are constantly slain in the spirit around me cannot stand solid in Christ?” was my first bit of doubting.  In short, I ASKED MYSELF AN IMPORTANT QUESTION. My doubt began because they were constantly falling in their spiritual walk.  So this situation caused me to begin to doubt the slain in the spirit practice.  Also “War on the Saints” Caused me to start doubting.  IT WAS A GOOD THING.

Once I began to doubt and question, the Holy Spirit began to pour rivers of  revelation upon me about many things.  As He undeceived me, I began to write..

The result is 7 published books.

Who Are The Tormenting Demons? By Pam Sheppard

10 Jul

In my book, “the Fake Jesus: Fallen Angels Among Us” you will find these words:

So through the telepathic communication through a channel,  Ashtar sent out a  defensive word of caution to his followers, and for all the gobblygook, here is a paraphrase of Ashtar’s claim:.

cover_the fake Jesus_new

For e-book click the book cover. For paperback, click the title link.

 Ashtar’s words paraphrased:

 “Look you guys.  If any of you have been tormented, it was not from us.  There is a fake Ashtar Command that is imitating us.  Renegade demon cadets who were trained in the Ashtar command who did not measure up were expelled. Resentful and envious, they formed their own battalion, a duplicate of us but  operated by demons who are assigned to the lower planes closest to Earth . These renigades   have formed alliances with other rebellious demons who have sided against me.  This rebellious group tells its channels that it is me, –Ashtar– and they even imitate Sananda.”  (the Fake Jesus)

Ashtar

Ashtar is an ascended master in charge of spiritual warfare among the fallen angels. He serves under the command of the fake Jesus, known as Jesus Sananda Immanuel. Sananda is second in command to Maitreya.

                        Think of it!!! According to Ashtar, the so-called  imposter demons  of the Ashtar Command are  very dangerous.  They are fear based.  They threaten, chastise, promote paranoia, prophesy fearful scenarios of Earth’ devastation–real horrific, terrifying stuff.  They also incite racial and religious discrimination.  They will pressure those they are able to “channel with” to commit suicide, take drugs, become irresponsible by deserting their families, dropout of society or live an unbalanced life.  They also encourage people to give over their  money to charlatans and deceivers.  They cause their captives to give their personal and spiritual authority to another.”  They also cause mental illness.”

To RESCUE member who  I have trained in deliverance  coaching,  does this not sound like the symptoms and manifestations  of those who seek deliverance from us?

To my readers, I suggest to you “when all else fails, try RESCUE!”

Speaking in Tongues is DEVIL WORSHIP! By Pam Sheppard

An Excerpt from the FAKE JESUS: Fallen Angels Among Us

Evan Roberts and The Wales Revival of 1904-1905; Part of the appeal of this wide scale revival lay in Evan Roberts himself, a charismatic and sincere preacher. Although he came from the Welsh Methodist tradition, he wasn’t a theologian, and he never finished his training to be a minister. His message was for all the people of Wales, regardless of denomination, and it was immensely appealing. Meetings would be a mixture of prayer, self-examination and singing, and they could last for hours. Roberts suffered a severe mental breakdown at the end of the revival, from which he never recovered. As a result, his public ministry was finished. He recuperated at the home of Jessie Penn Lewis and he assisted her in writing “War on the Saints.” When the book was denounced by critics in that day, it is reported that Roberts denied co-authoring the book. Jessie Penn Lewis, author of “War on the Saints.” ((1861-1927) was an English evangelical speaker and author of a number of Christian evangelical works. Her father was a Calvinist Methodist minister. Along with Evan Roberts, Penn Lewis was significantly involved in the 1904-1905 Welsh Revival. As previously noted, the revival was abruptly shortened with the mental and physical collapse of Evan Roberts.

Penn-Lewis traveled internationally to take her spiritual warfare message to audiences in Russia, Scandinavia, Canada, the U.S., and India. She has remained a controversial figure among Christians for almost 100 years, primarily because she declared the failure of the Welsh Revival to be the work of Satan. Emphasis is centered in “War on the Saints” of the danger that comes to believers at the point of baptism in the Holy Ghost, yet little reference is made to tongues.

In a subtitled called “The Counterfeit Presence is Sensual,” Penn-Lewis writes: (War on the Saints, pg. 130-131) “The counterfeit presence of God is given by deceiving spirits, working upon the physical frame, or within the bodily frame, upon the senses. We have seen the beginning of this, and how the first ground is gained. It is deepened by these sense-manifestations being repeated, so gently, that the man goes on yielding to them, thinking this is truly ‘communion with God’—-for believers too often look upon ‘communion with God’ as a thing of sense and not of spirit—and here he commences praying to evil spirits under the belief that he is praying to God. The self-control is not yet lost, but as the believer responds to, or gives himself up to these ‘conscious’ manifestations, he does not know that his WILLPOWER IS BEING SLOWLY UNDERMINED. At last through these subtle, delicious experiences, the faith is established that God Himself is CONSCIOUSLY IN POSSESSION OF THE BODY, quickening it with felt thrills of life,or filling it with warmth and heat, or even ‘agonies’ which seem like fellowship with the sufferings of Christ, and travail for souls, or the experience of death with Christ in the consciousness of nails being driven into the bodily frame, etc. From this point, the lying spirits (demons) can work as they will, and there is no limit as to what they may do to a believer deceived to this extent. (Jessie Penn-Lewis)

Now readers, don’t get angry with me. I did not write those words. I don’t know about you, but almost a century ago, this woman wrote words that describe ME! From the agonies and travail for souls, the feelings of warmth and heat, .the consciousness of nails being driven into my bodily frame, I experienced all of this—some of it before I even heard about tongues, before I was even introduced to charismatic teachings or mega preachers.

There is nothing new under the sun where the religious demon is concerned. He just reworks the same ole stuff. Just recently, I happened to be browsing “War on the Saints” for the umpteenth time and I found a short paragraph accompanied by a specific footnote toward the end of the book regarding tongues in small print which is quoted below, in red. As much as I read and value this book, I only noticed this small paragraph and footnote last week: “A question arises here as to whether believers may now speak in unknown tongues, as the disciples did at the time of the Holy Spirit’s in filling at Pentecost.

There are those that say ‘Yes” but the truths set forth in preceding chapters, show that until the spiritual section of the Church of Christ are more acquainted with the counterfeiting methods of the spirits of evil, and the laws which give them power of working, any testimony to such experience AS TRUE, cannot be safely relied upon. (pg. 298) And here is the footnote in fine print: The subject of speaking in tongues is not further dealt with, as the counterfeits in connection with it are only a fraction of the countless counterfeits being forced upon the children of God AT THE PRESENT TIME, numbers of which are not referred to in these pages. A believer not deceived by counterfeit speaking in tongues can be deceived and possessed by accepting other counterfeits. An understanding of the BROAD PRINCIPLES showing the basic differences between the way of God’s working, and the deceptive imitations by Satan, will enable spiritual believers to discern for themselves all the counterfeits they meet with today.

Clearly, Jessie Penn-Lewis was more concerned about “her day and time” then she was about ours. Having ministered in the greatest revival that has occurred in recorded church history since the days of the early church, much of her wisdom comes from experience. Likewise, my own reservations about tongues is primarily connected to counseling professing Christians for deliverance, the vast majority of whom speak in tongues, yet they are also tormented and some have been seriously demonized.

Evidently, Penn-Lewis was not a prophet and therefore, the Lord did not show her “our times” or perhaps she would have spent more time on the speaking in tongues–a practice that has evolved in our times into a major controversy. In this regard, I hope that those readers who speak in tongues will not allow their feelings and emotions to override their good sense. My concern is not for the bona-fide manifestation. In 30 years, I have not personally witnessed one. My concern is for the counterfeit. As such, I agree with my contemporary, Dr. Rebecca Brown’s warning concerning counterfeits manifested through the speaking in other tongues. Her comments were made relative to charismatic Catholics but I believe that Dr. Brown’s words apply to word of faith followers and those within pentecostal denominations as well:

“Christians have made the terrible mistake of assuming that ALL tongues are from God. How wrong they are!…It is well-known that many occult rituals are done in tongues….The fact that Catholics speak in tongues is not proof that they are filled with the Holy Spirit. Too many of these precious Catholic souls assume that because they are speaking in tongues, they are saved. How can the Holy Spirit be operative and manifesting of idolatry?”( Prepare for War, pgs 182-3)

In a nutshell, Dr. Brown’s rhetorical question is the bottom line of this blog, and in a nutshell, she has written what I believe to be the overriding issue. Therefore, I must concur that I do not believe that tongues and its interpretation can be a gift from God within an idolatrous system. The degeneration of this system in the last two decades or more has now gone wild with the prosperity gospel. The amount of money pilfered from unsuspecting, faithful people in tithes and offerings is beyond my imagination to sum up. Furthermore, the current segment of the charismatic/pentecostal system’s preaching of faith has seriously injured and caused premature death to countless of people who have refused needed medical attention that could have spared their lives.

Tragedies of today are actually influenced by the ministries of Charles Parham and another 19th century minister whose name is John Alexander Dowey. Called the Father of Healing Revivalism, Dowey was arrested and charged with manslaughter in the death of his own daughter, who died from a severe burn due to Dowey’s refusal to seek medical attention on her behalf. The beat goes on as I have recently watched video clippings of people whose deceased relatives believed in error that they were healed at a Benny Hinn crusade.

Only God Himself knows how many of his children on their death beds suffered needlessly,–depressed because some word of faith preacher taught them that anyone who becomes sick has either failed God or that their faith in God was too weak to be healed by Him. No, I no longer trust a system that has been replete with error for 100 years. I have searched the scriptures and now I have reviewed the history of tongues. I have some strong impressions as to why I have been suspicious of manifestations that I have either experienced or witnessed. Research has confirmed for me that what we see operative today in tongues is counterfeit. If there is a true gift of tongues in operation, we should be privy to how to discern the true gift from the fake one. Moreover, if tongues has actually ceased by the hand of God, we should not attempt to restore it. For those who desire to continue to track my search for truth, I suggest that you keep reading.

Note:. The Fake Jesus was published in 2007.

Today is December 15, 2011.Four years have come and gone. I spoke in tongues from 1982-2007. Twenty-five years!!!! As it now stands, I continue to NOT speak in tongues because today I am convinced that it is a counterfeit doctrine and practice of the spirit of the Anti-Christ. I make no exceptions, unless you are in a remote part of the world where more than one unknown language is spoken, and the natives have never heard of Jesus Christ.

Witchcraft As A Lust of the Flesh: Dealing With Manipulative and Controlling Captives

3 Dec

Witchcraft is the practice of cursing and controlling people and situations with a counterfeit spiritual authority and power, using white and black magic.  However, witchcraft is also listed among other traits and conditions as a “lust of the flesh” or a personality type.  We all have experienced these kinds of people.  It is one thing to be a pain in the ass  know-it-all.  However, when a person tries to manipulate, dominate and control the lives of other, that is when witchcraft as a lust of the flesh is quite obvious.   A personality trait cannot be cast out.  When the person is active and prominent in your life–perhaps  a parent, a spouse, a sibling, relative or a friend,— then you will have to develop diversified strategies to protect yourself. Once I continue too  discuss such strategies, this subject  could turn into a book that I might consider writing.  For now, let us look at witchcraft from the standpoint of moral purity.

Utterly committed to upholding their own self-image, captives in the grips of witchcraft as a lust of their flesh  will fight to uphold an appearance of moral purity. Moral purity in this instance is not so much a desire to seek after true righteousness but more a desire to appear righteous to his or her entire  public. A  Jezebelian personality type  is like her old testament predecessor in the flesh. Her  desire is “to kill the prophets of God” and to crown false prophets that are obedient to Satan. In this regard, the religious demon has found a seat in the organized church, a pivotal position to fulfill Satan’s goal of killing true prophets.

From the onset, I point out that a sensitivity and a compassion for those bound by witchcraft as a   lust of the flesh  is certainly essential to set a captive free. In fact, I  am always prepared to help these captives to pick up the pieces of their shattered lives when I perceive that  the Holy Spirit has confronted  them to face their own wickedness. Only God Himself can do this.  However, He may use you.  Just know that no amount of persuasion or debate will affect a captive who has witchcraft as a personality trait. And if the victim is in a position of authority in your life, you should never forget that you are   in for a formidable struggle where the odds are stacked against you. Remember also that the actual  spirit called  witchcraft will use its captives by  sending other  demons of accusation, rejection, condemnation and fear as a means of a counter attack, so it is imperative that you be  is wise as a serpent but as harmless as a dove.    The key is to remain humble, repentant and forgiving. Here are a few ways to be as wise as a serpent:

  1. Never reveal your innermost hopes and dreams to  a manipulative, dominating and controlling person.  One with a witchcraft personality trait will find both direct and subtle ways to disrupt, even destroy your plans. Most of the time, these kinds of captives are so narcissistic that they don’t really listen to others because they are very pre-occupied with the beat of their own drum.  So let THEM talk.  When they turn toward you and begin to ask questions, you ask THEM a question.  Their attention span is often  limited too themselves so  they can be distracted by another subject that interests them more than you and your pitiful life. But once such captives are bored, LOOK OUT!!!
  2.  Be very alert.  By example, when it is possible to do so, create a pre-prepared plan of escape from these people. Set boundaries and parameters ahead of time based upon the amount of time you can tolerate this person. For example, have some one call you at a certain set time, to interrupt either the phone call or the meeting.  Text helps out a lot with these kinds of people if you are not strong enough for a verbal or a face-to-face encounter.
  3. If you want to keep a new friendship or a relationship, do whatever you can to keep the witchcraft captive from meeting or getting involved with your friend.  Witchcraft captives can be quite engaging, and even if you warn your friend about the evil of the captive’s ways, YOU may  end up being the culprit who is unstable, jealous or judgmental because  the witchcraft captive has been both charming and engaging.  Once you start defending yourself, you have already lost the new friend.  In fact, don’t be surprised if the witchcraft captive has not stolen your new friend. So be wise and do not try to present a witchcraft profile ahead of time for it may backfire and leave egg on your face.

Say No To Charismatic Divination: It’s Not Prophecy! by Pam Sheppard

18 Nov

“Divination within the organized church community is called “prophecy” or discernment. Power hungry folk aim at controlling the lives and destinies of gullible people. Pulpits are filled with diviners and soothsayers—“charismatic hype masters”—that have no other message but one that caters to our flesh. Like the occult card layers, the divination of old has progressively worsened in our time because the “church community” is flooded with countless pseudo-prophets as it sweeps across worldwide Christendom, it leaves some devastated people in its path.

Has any one spoken a word into your life that you now know was not from God?”

“Messages From Angels are Counterfeits Of Satan” by Pam Sheppard

15 Nov

“I am amazed at the amount of tormented people that are hearing voices, having mental pictures or visions, dreams, and other signs from beings they believe to be angels, sent forth to minister to us, as heirs of salvation.

Let it be known that the entire work of revealing Christ, and leading His Body into all truth, has been committed to the Holy Spirit. Therefore all intervention of “angels,” or audible voices from the spiritual realm, claiming to be from God, must be taken as counterfeits of Satan.

the enemy’s goal is to substitute the working of his own army in the place of God. The job for the angels in our time is to protect us from harm and danger. They don’t need to send us messages to do that.

I know from personal experience. Listening to a being in 1985 who claimed he was an angel sent from God to show me my ministry,caused me to marry not one wrong man, but TWO!!! I also held on to a fruitless ministry for too many years because of the message this fallen angel sent to me.

These beings fill your head up with pride and steer you toward a way that God did not intend for you to go.”

The Marriage and Soul Tie Scam of The Religious Spirit

3 Mar

By Wenona Russ

I can remember one time I was parked in a parking lot, needing a ‘WORD FROM THE LORD.’

Funny thing was it was regarding whether  or not I should stay at a church I was attending (that’s when I was still part of the organized church system).  I had just gotten off work and was bone tired and I had to preach that night.

I heard a voice so clear…”That is your church home.  I have a work for you to do there….”  Then this voice went onto tell me “…and the pastor is your husband…”

I won’t lie to you:  I did a Sarah when ‘God’ said that…LOL.  Yes, I laughed!  I was like ‘there is NO way that that man is my husband!  He is 15 years my junior…my oldest son is almost his age!’  Then some other things were said about how we were going to build ministry together, blah, blah, blah….

I got a LOT of confirmation on that ‘word’ from several different sources.  We would go to churches and people would prophesy marriage to us both. MANY ‘prophetesses’ and ‘prophets’ prophelied about how we were going to take the city.  The co-pastor of the church even came to me to ‘counsel’ me on several occasions to prep me for marriage to this pastor (who also happened to be her son!)

That word I got in that parking lot led me to stay with that church for a total of 5 years.  And we didn’t end up marrying:  come to find out he was on the DL…and had an incurable STD, all while STILL pastoring that ‘church.’

When that lying spirit of Baal saw that I was not going to fall for that, he sent a ( false) prophetess to this same church to prophelie to an armorbearer and the pastor -a ‘prophecy’ that set off a chain of events that would eventually lead to a church scandal and the pastor marrying a 19-year old…they are still ‘married’ and have a son.  And he is still in his lifestyle, and the young girl plays along as the dutiful first lady of the church…

And the prophetess of Baal that lied to those two has a church of her own now, too.

Let me tell you something:  there is a false spirit out there that knows the desires of our hearts.  It knows what we crave and desire the most.  No secret:  most of us go crying on the altar or blabbing on Facebook how bad we want a mate, or a ministry, or a car or a house.  So the devil heard your prayers.  So now all he got to do is send a prophet of Baal to lie to you, tell you what you want.  And then we get fooled into thinking these prophets of Baal are really from God because what they said does come true.

That is not the only prerequisite of knowing if someone is a TRUE prophet of God or not.

A TRUE prophet of God is not only going to be able to tell the future-fortune tellers can do that.  A TRUE prophet is going to utter what THUS SAITH THE LORD and THAT ONLY.  A TRUE prophet of God is going to be soaked in OBEDIENCE TO GOD.

When we get hooked on needing confirmation of words from God and seeking after a sign, we are treading on DANGEROUS territory.  VERY DANGEROUS.  Because the enemy mimics EVERYTHING God does.   The enemy can do signs, perform miracles, prophesy, speak in tongues, dance.

So if your diet of the Word of God is more of ‘I-gotta-see-a-sign-I-gotta-see-a-move-I-need-a-confirmation,’ then you are subject to be deceived by the devil.

STOP SEEKING CONFIRMATIONS!!!!

The Word says MY SHEEP KNOW MY VOICE AND A STRANGER THEY WILL NOT FOLLOW in John 10.

Learn to crack open the Word of God, study, get in the Presence of God and learn to Hear from God for YOURSELF.

Needing confirmations is a sign of YOUR UNBELIEF and LACK OF FAITH.  AND LACK OF RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD.  If you are not hearing the voice of God, then you are NOT HIS SHEEP.

The people in the Old Testament stayed in rebellion and disobedience, which is why they could never hear God for themselves.  So that’s why you always saw folks asking other folks to tell them what God said.  And the Holy Ghost was not yet given, so they had to rely on others…

But God promised there would come a time when He would write His Commandments on the tables of OUR HEARTS (Jeremiah 31:33).

That way when we sin, the law that is NOT DONE AWAY WITH, but WRITTEN IN OUR HEARTS, would convict us of sin…and-if one is submissive to the work of the Holy Ghost in their lives-will repent of sin.

An unrepentant heart can NEVER hear from God.

I repeat:  AN UNREPENTANT HEART CAN NEVER HEAR FROM GOD!

The only thing that that person will hear is God telling him to repent.  And if he waits TOO long to repent, the Word says God will give him over to a reprobate mind.

So I said all that to say this one thing:  if you need a word from God, make sure there is no unrepentant sin in your life or that you’re NOT walking in pride, disobedience or rebellion.  Because once you do, that’s when a deceiving spirit will come in and tell you THUS SAITH THE LORD…

And MOST OF THE TIME-IF NOT ALL THE TIME-those words and any accompanying ‘confirmations’ will ALL BE A LIE from the PIT OF HELL!!!!  SENT TO DESTROY YOU!!!!!

HE THAT HATH AN EAR LET HIM HEAR WHAT THE SPIRIT OF GOD IS SAYING….

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Are you hungry and thirsty for the WORD OF GOD, but long to learn to study for yourself?
Do you long to no longer be tainted by religion when hearing from God?  Do you want to make sure the Words you are hearing are not filtered through religious sifters?
Click here for resources that teach YOU how to hear CLEARLY from God for yourself! For example, the book “Faces of the Religious Demon” by Pamela Sheppard shed light on what happened to me and countless others.  Here is a short quote:
“I don’t believe that there is any area more conducive to demonic deception than in the area of love and marriage, particularly in the lives of wmen called to ministry or to female leaders within the laity. The most popular demonic strategy is to present individuals of either the same or the opposite sex in either a seductive or intriguing form, with the object of arousing various dormant thoughts in the captive, which he or she does not realize exist within.  The deceived believer will become smitten with thoughts of a particular person, as masked for the purposes of prayer, of incresed fellowship, and where the opposite sex is concerned, for ministry and communion in the things of God. When the soul tie is romantic in nature, the religious demon or fallen angel will work in the realm of the passions and the affections of the captive to believe that the party upon whom his or her affections is fixed is also equally affected and mutually enamored.  This is accompanied with a counterfeit “love” or drawing to the partner, with a painful craving for his or her company which almost masters the captive.” (Faces of the Religious Demon)
Delivered From the Occult
23 Feb
It took a few years for me to understand my testimony. Thirty tears ago,   I thought the occult was good because while I was communicating with who I believed to be benevolent spirit guides, the Holy Ghost stepped in and I got born again.  It took a few years for God to reveal that I got saved in spite of the occult and not because of it.  God stepped in and literally snatched me out of the hands of a fallen angel who calls humself “St Germain.”
If you need deliverance, I can help you.  So call me at 518-477-5759 to schedule a telephone session.
Deliverance Ministry’s Use of a List of Demon Names
In the field of deliverance ministry, there are 3 schools of thought: The Spiritual Warfare School, the Providential School and the Laodicean World View.
The Spiritual Warfare school of thought is like this. God is not really sovereign and therefore the light and truth of the gospel of Jesus Christ is NOT sufficient to set captives free.  As such, new doctrines have been created like “generational curses” as an outstanding example.  New doctrines have been created by those who have taken scripture of its natural context to develop a complicated practice known as “deliverance ministry.”  In the spiritual warfare world view, we MUST know the names of demons.  Too often, proponents of this view ask demons what their names are, expecting them to tell them the truth, based on ONE scripture where Jesus asked for a name and the demon answered, “Legion, for we are many.”  Let’s face it. The Lord wasn’t going to stand there and call out 6000 names.
Then there is the Providential School.  These are those who believe that God is in control and therefore, all we need to do about demons is to seek after Jesus, live a righteous life and not pay any attention to demons. Don’t study them, simply call on the Lord to be delivered.  To them I ask. “What about Job? There was no more of a righteous man in his day and time, yet God set Job up to contend with the devil.
I stand with a school that I myself have laid the foundation for: The Laodicean School.
I start with the premise that we are living in the 7th church age of Laodicea. As the Lord points out, this is an age of gross religious deception due to pride, spiritual blindness and vanity. Therefore, EVERYTHING supernatural must be tried and tested. Deliverance ministry is supernatural and so it too must be “suspect” as it was designed and created by deceived Christians in the early 70’s: Frank and Ida Hammond with their book “Pigs in the Parlor,” and Derek Prince and his books, particularly “How to Expel Demons.”
I take the best from both views. God is in control but He requires us to know the enemy’s tricks and wiles.
For a detailed presentation of these 3 schools of thought, the New Idolatry would be helpful as they are described in detail in a chapter entitled “The Conspiracy of Deliverance Ministry.”
Psychic Predictions or Divine Prophecy? By Minister Kellie
12 Dec
  Psychic predictions or anointing from God? Fortune teller or prophet? If you hold the title of prophet, you might just be under demonic deception. Here’s why: the devil can find out information too. A fortune-teller had a field day with Apostle Paul in scripture. She ran around announcing who Paul was. Apostle Paul cast a demon out from this woman.What we fail to understand, or bother to take note of, is the fact that devils, fallen angels and demons also have information.
That’s why, if you do go to a fortune-teller they can give you bits of information. If you’ve paid attention to Pam’s teachings, you will note that she expounds on this topic.
I’ll tell you a little story. When I was new in the word of faith church, a so-called prophet used to follow me around with a word. In fact, after every service, this fella’ was doing a side-show. He would start-up the madness during fellowship. Seemed he found a new target in me. One day I just had to politely tell him to stop it. I didn’t know much then, but I knew this guy was out-of-order. Here’s the kicker: members would even ask him if he had a word for them.
Now you tell me, was this fella’ a fortune-teller or a prophet? I say he was a fortune-teller, because he would conjure up a so-called word from the Lord at the drop of a hat. Plus, as you know from Pam’s counterfeit birth teachings, many in the organized church are unsaved. You yourself know that the wheat and the tares will grow together.  You know this from scripture.
Prophet? The word ” prophet ” is not just a Christian word. The definition of prophet is one who foretells the future. As well as one who delivers divine messages. We forget that the worlds definition of divine includes the devil. Some worship the devil. Fortune tellers and witches worship the devil, whether they know it or admit it.
The organized church has absolutely no idea of how to deal with demonic affliction. Consider this: I suffered from depression, a demonic spirit, for years. The organized church promoted worldly counseling. Really? Yes they did. We can’t counsel or talk demons away, they must be cast out. I came to my senses and decided to follow Christ’s directives. Pam cast  the spirit of depression from me and I have not been depressed not one day in 2 years.. But it took years of me mucking about with the church. I knew I had to leave, what kind of church can’t deal with demons? The answer is: the organized church, every last one of them.
I want to give you now, an excerpt from Pam Sheppard’s textbook on the religious demon, entitled ” the New Idolatry:”
In a nutshell, like New Age Mysticism, charismatic witchcraft is the practice of white magic. For the sake of comparison, consider how both a new age practitioner and a Charismatic Christian would approach a typical problem, namely, a woman seeking to stop the infidelity of her husband.
Pam then goes on to compare the fortune-teller and the Charismatic Christian. Pam  points out in detail how both the occultist and the Charismatic approach the same problem in “supernatural ways.”  In other words, there are no real differences between them.
A classic study on end of time signs, you need this important book.”
