Don’t Lose Your Crown With Fast Food Religion and Quick Fix Deliverances

armorThe bible warns that the conditions at the end of the age will “wax worse and worse” men deceiving and being deceived.(2 Timothy 3:13) and many children of God will be deceived, possibly destroyed, because of a lack of discernment, becoming unconscious vessels for the enemy to use in the DAY of his power. (Matthew 24:10). Therefore, it is mandated that every true believer must be prepared to stand alone in order to emerge as an overcomer. To be prepared means that you have been trained in peace time but most often, while you are actually in the battle.

Unfortunately, we are not prepared for what is happening among this generation’s religious people.  Whether in church or absent from Her, Satan is pulling out all  his last stops including spirit rape, voices, intrusive blasphemous thoughts and horrifying visions to let religious folk know, that he is in control of them.  And he is.

How did the devil obtain this kind of power when the bible reports that the Lord Jesus Christ has defeated him? Simply put, the  spiritually undernourished have been eating fast spiritual foods leading to the expectation that quick religious  fixes and fantasies will  pull them  through to victory. What is neither understood or considered is that we who will overcome must try the spirits NOW. We must not believe every spirit.  The spirit that is not of God is Anti-Christ.  So if you are hearing blasphemous thoughts about the Lord Jesus, or if entities or spirits are having sex with you to satisfy their need for spiritual worship, if you are having evil visions that cause shame and guilt , you have been taken over by Satan as  the Accuser of the brethren and the  spirit of the Anti-Christ.

In order to overcome the spirit of the Antichrist who is now quite active in our present world, everything and everyone must be tested, including yourself.  How is this test implemented? First of all, , check to see if you have been  consistently eating junk food. Also, examine where you stand relative to the gospel of Jesus Christ of Nazareth: sin, the cross, the death, burial, resurrection and the return  of the Lord.   Do you understand repentance? Did you experience godly sorrow as led by the Holy Spirit and not by the needs of your own flesh for grief, self-accusation, and self-induced shame?   Did the Holy Spirit call you to the cross or did you just ask Jesus to come into your heart because you were afraid of going to hell? Are you expecting a pre-tribulation rapture and therefore you are not preparing for His coming? Do you believe you are born again yet you still have not been able to control sinful behavior? Do you believe that church attendance and loyalty will save you?

The answers to these questions will reveal whether or not you have been eating fast foods, and relying on quick fixes, fantasizing that you are blessed when in fact, you may be cursed.

Let us face it!.  WE ARE IN A WAR.  A SPIRITUAL WAR! if you are in agreement with theantichrist spirit of the world and the spirit of the Antichrist, you are a weak vessel, not a soldier, one  who is actually food for Satan.  He smells your blood in the water and you are the prey of the mighty. He will tempt you with illusions in the spirit that are not common to man and he does not play fair.  However, those of us called to Calvary have been given weapons for warfare that we are to use and become proficient in their use by experience, developing our faith by trial and sometimes by error.

A part of that warfare is to recognize the spies and overcome them BEFORE the Lord returns. We are in a conflict with the Antichrist and his army NOW.  Consider perhaps the very near future as outlined in Revelation 17. In this chapter, Christ is carrying out terrible things on His enemies who “war against the Lamb, and the Lamb shall overcome them, for He is the Lord of lords and the King of kings, and they also shall overcome who are with Him, called and chosen, and faithful.”

I want to be in this number.  You should want it also.

We shall judge and rule with Christ, at least those of us who overcome.  Those who have died in Christ already have escaped the  kind of uncommon supernatural trials and  tests Satan will throw our way in these Laodicean, deceitfully lukewarm times of fast food religion and quick fix deliverances.  I suspect that the dead in Christ have their crowns already.  However, what if we are alive when He comes?   It seems that it is OUR crowns that are up for grabs. Will you allow YOUR crown  to  be stolen because you enjoyed too much fast food in the spirit  and you depended solely on quick fixes, incapable of standing against the wiles of the devil.

Deliverance: Not A Quick Fix!

 Consider the case in scripture where the apostles were not able to cast out a demon from an epileptic.  After rebuking them for a lack of faith, Jesus also pointed to two other  conditions for this particular deliverance to be possible—-conditions that the apostles had not fulfilled, namely, prayer and fasting. I have personally discovered that where the religious demon is concerned,  an essential condition is  agreement  and respect between the captive and the  one who stands in the position of the deliverer. Simply put, those who have continued to challenge my authority and anointing are those who have not been set free. There are several other conditions.

    Since all of the demon’s wiles and devices are set in motion to keep both the captive and the deliverance counselor in the dark, both parties must maintain the ground of attack by making sure that dominion over sin has been accomplished.  For any un-crucified or weak spot in either party is an open target for the enemy to deceive.   Moreover, since each deliverance is an education in the spirit that must be patiently mastered, the captive as well as the deliverance counselor must open their minds to all truth, and close them to  all error.   Discernment requires accuracy in discrimination relative to perceiving the character and motives of  those involved, particularly those aspects of a situation  that are not clearly evident to the average intelligence.

     I believe that it is crucial to point out that I take great care not to be derailed into a necessary search for historical origin of demonic doorways  to such an extent that I overlook the captive’s responsibility to fight and the Lord’s desire that the captive be free, in spite of what his ancestors have done.  I encourage the captive to become familiar with his own inner strongholds and how the religious demon may have used his own weaknesses to keep him bound—driven to act in accordance with the religious demons strategies and devices. Once a particular weakness has become visible to me during counseling, it is my job to make the captive aware of its influence upon his captivity.

 With each new face of the religious demon exposed, new insights progressively lead to new challenges that neither the captive nor the deliverance worker has encountered before.  Yet I have found that in spite of all of the individual variations, the crucial conflicts around which the religious demon thrives are embedded with repetitive factors like competitiveness, hostilities between people, fears, and diminished self-esteem.  All parties in a deliverance must commit themselves to literally scrutinize everything.  Scrutiny is effective when close attention is paid to detailed, precise and   objective observation in a search for defects, errors and sins. All parties must press toward enlightenment in an aggressive fight to cast off the works of darkness and put on the armor of light. Although each and every relevant element of the client’s bondage must be examined and understood, one thing remains constant.  As a deliverance counselor, I must “go beyond the rope” and “work it through.”

     Nevertheless, in every case, my approach is basically the same–search for the hidden and the obscure; bring what I have found to the captive’s awareness; cause him to recognize how he has been working against himself; teach him who he is in Christ; and enable him to stand against all of the fiery darts of the enemy’s attack and counterattack. In this regard, I have also found through experience that there are four primary reasons as to how the religious demon obtains ground in a professing believer in Jesus Christ: a lack of understanding of the nature of true repentance and why repentance is absolutely essential to the new birth, a belief in “another Jesus”, an extreme seeking after signs and wonders without trying the spirits, and the influx of charismatic witchcraft, the fruit of  “out of context” preaching.

     As a former medium and astrologer, in all humility I confess that I know what it feels like to be caught up in a supernatural deception of false power.  Satan and his demons DO have the ability to transform themselves into beings of light. The word of God warns us in more than one scripture that many of the elect shall be deceived in the last days.  I believe that there are several seekers today who may be among the elect who are living under the power of a strong delusion.  In these last days, it is crucial to repeat the words of Hosea the prophet in this matter: “My people are destroyed for a lack of knowledge.” With humble contrition, I thank the Lord that although I myself was almost destroyed for the lack  an ability of discerning good from evil, He showed me the way to the truth.

Click cover for ebook, click title for softcover       In retrospect, a common thread throughout the book “Faces of the Religious Demon  is that the biggest enemy to complete deliverance  from religiosity is not the demons, but it is the flesh. As we have seen, the capacity of the captive to recognize the consequences of demonic deception is limited without a commitment to stand against the forces of darkness, regardless of the apparent ruthlessness of the truth. Going beyond the rope embraces several aspects of spiritual warfare including those attributes of deliverance counseling that help the captive translate the messages obtained through learning how to read the subtle messages that the trends, seasons and cycles of his life unfold.

     In the final analysis, life itself is a very effective teacher, not within our own control but in the hands of the Holy Spirit. If we do not grieve Him or quench Him with our carnality, we can  help Him to set the captives free in the Name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth. For me, this is like swimming beyond the rope of merely commanding a demon to depart, which I will do, as the Holy Spirit leads me.  Yet to be truly effective, I must stop the religious demon in its tracks by FIRST imparting truth. Jesus Christ has left his disciples with His word, His armor and His name.  As long as we do not allow the lust of our flesh for religion to grieve and quench the Holy Ghost, we will win!!!!

Greetings in the precious name of Our Lord and Savior Jesus the Christ.  This is an exciting endeavor.  It was more than 20 years ago that I had a dream of 12 miles of a highway where people were standing “on-line”, single file, at arm’s length.  It has only been recently that the meaning of this dream was revealed.  The “highway” is the Internet and you, the people, are “on-line!”  Allow me to share with you “on-line”, thirty-nine years as a therapist in a licensed field  and thirty  (30) years as a ministerial servant of the Lord Jesus Christ!

To The Deliverance Minister…

Deliverance Ministry’s Use of a List of Demon Names

In the field of deliverance ministry, there are 3 schools of thought: The Spiritual Warfare School, the Providential School and the Laodicean World View.

The Spiritual Warfare school of thought is like this. God is not really sovereign and therefore the light and truth of the gospel of Jesus Christ is NOT sufficient to set captives free.  As such, new doctrines have been created like “generational curses” as an outstanding example.  New doctrines have been created by those who have taken scripture of its natural context to develop a complicated practice known as “deliverance ministry.”  In the spiritual warfare world view, we MUST know the names of demons.  Too often, proponents of this view ask demons what their names are, expecting them to tell them the truth, based on ONE scripture where Jesus asked for a name and the demon answered, “Legion, for we are many.”  Let’s face it. The Lord wasn’t going to stand there and call out 6000 names.

Then there is the Providential School.  These are those who believe that God is in control and therefore, all we need to do about demons is to seek after Jesus, live a righteous life and not pay any attention to demons. Don’t study them, simply call on the Lord to be delivered.  To them I ask. “What about Job? There was no more of a righteous man in his day and time, yet God set Job up to contend with the devil.

I stand with a school that I myself have laid the foundation for: The Laodicean School.

I start with the premise that we are living in the 7th church age of Laodicea. As the Lord points out, this is an age of gross religious deception due to pride, spiritual blindness and vanity. Therefore, EVERYTHING supernatural must be tried and tested. Deliverance ministry is supernatural and so it too must be “suspect” as it was designed and created by deceived Christians in the early 70’s: Frank and Ida Hammond with their book “Pigs in the Parlor,” and Derek Prince and his books, particularly “How to Expel Demons.”

I take the best from both views. God is in control but He requires us to know the enemy’s tricks and wiles.

Endtime Spiritual Warfare and Satan’s Agenda

It is easier for Satan to control and manage fallen angels  than human beings. Due to  the intricate requirements that  full-scale deception and seduction entail as well as the limits that God Himself sets on Satan where it comes to His elect, Satan’s job is not as easy as we might expect.  Moreover, due to our  multiplicity of social and ethnic groupings,  as a species, human beings  have countless conflicting  desires and agendas.   Therefore, issues of self-interest lead to  clashing wills in our  everyday struggle to uplift all kinds of opposing agendas.  To further interfere with Satan’s overall agenda,  the demons themselves have different areas of responsibility  that often conflict with other groups of demons.

       Take the abortion issue as a simple example.  Under the domain of  the spirit of death known in scripture as “the death angel”, there are  fallen angels  who specialize in killing fetuses.  Yet on the opposite side are   demons who use  anti-abortion zealots to bomb  clinics.  So one military company of  demons lines up against another  evil spirit company with a clashing agenda on two opposing sides–those who kill for “pro-choice”  and  pro-lifers who kill by assaulting pro-abortionists. In any major issue, there will be demons opposing each other on several sides of the equation,  as they attempt to kill, steal and destroy.

       So Satan’s army is often at odds with each other over priorities and targets of spiritual warfare. The Lord Jesus revealed that from the days of John the Baptist, Satan’s kingdom suffered violence, as his demonic forces became divided against themselves.  Charismatic interpretations have suggested that God’s kingdom suffered violence, but actually it is Satan’s kingdom that suffered violence with the preaching of repentance. From that point on, Satan has failed  to unify his own spiritual forces.

       So who are “the violent who take it by force?”   We suspect that “the violent” are the strongest  in the battle, whether they be God’s  or Satan’s demons.  We can comprehend the nature of a spiritual  battle by studying Daniel Chapter 10. An angel  was bringing an answer to prayer to Daniel, when he was delayedby opposing demons.  The angel declared to Daniel, “The prince of the kingdom of Persia withstood me for 21 days,and behold, Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me for I had been left alone there with the kings of Persia.”  So Jesus declared that from the preaching of John the Baptist, the violence between angelic beings would increase.

       In the midst of spiritual militarism, Satan has reserved  the Ascended Masters— the devil’s final “big guns,”— cosmic beings of great power and intelligence. In this regard,  Satan’s final stand before he is thrown into the lake of fire is to mobilize his highest ranking generals  to organize and rule the world before the return of Jesus Christ of Nazareth—in his final effort  to prove that the world does not need the real Jesus.

        As the Master of Masters,  Maitreya is Satan’s top  “endtime general”  whose job is to bring order to the chaos of this planet by establishing a regime based on brotherhood.   This is Maitreya’s “rap.”  Through Benjamin Creme and others, Maitreya’s motives seem too pure and unselfish to be connected to  Satan, and there lies the power behind the  deception. Not only the lost of the world but even some of the elect will not suspect that the elimination of racism, poverty, starvation, unity, and sharing for the common good could possibly have its roots underlying Satan’s  ultimate agenda.  With this kind of positive rhetoric, the devil is portrayed in the mystery of Maitreya as “the least likely culprit.”
